    E-mail about changes at VIP.com
    Just got this:

    Hi Mudcat,

VIP.com is committed to providing our players with the best possible service for all their gaming needs. As you are probably aware, recent changes in the e-commerce landscape have caused many online companies like ours to adapt their offerings in this fast paced industry.

As one of our premium clients, we wanted to update you on the most recent changes at VIP.com.

The following service updates and offerings are effective immediately.

    Canadian Customers
We have enjoyed the opportunity to serve you over the years. Regrettably, we will no longer be able to accept deposits from Canadian players effective immediately. You will maintain access to your account until April 1, 2007. If you currently have a balance you may continue to use any funds in your account until that date, at which point any remaining funds will be refunded to you and your account will be closed.

    Telephone Support Announcement
In line with our continued focus on VIP Service, all of our phone service agents will be at your disposal during peak business hours. You may continue to contact our call center 7 days per week from 9am to 11pm EST 7 days a week. For those customers seeking support during off-peak hours, our agents remain at your service online by Live Chat or Email 24 hours per day to assist you. Note to Poker players: poker support is only available online and is offered 24 hours per day.

    Telephone Betting Announcement
To further increase our focus on VIP Service, we will no longer offer betting by telephone. Our online wagering interface is the best in the industry, and there are many more betting options available online than by telephone. If you have not seen our extensive online betting offering recently, please visit our website at www.vip.com today to take a test drive.

VIP.com continues to be a global leader in online gaming, and remains committed to offering the best service possible to you for the remainder of our relationship.

And to celebrate all this, they did cut my limits to 50$ lmao.
Joke "book", instead of getting line managers that dont sleep all day.

Funny how they cut off phone wagering too. They told me since I live in one of there "restrictive states" thats the only method I could have use to play with them.

Yoshi, I take it that you were taking advantage of there extremely slow 4 minute line movers in regards to the steam?

yaps - if they "offer" it why not take it.
They are going the wrong way thou, instead of improving their lines every player with a clue gets limited.

As i posted in some other thread, i think VIP are done and will sell soon.

I do not know what are they doing now, but unfortunatelly they are not accessible from most IP addresses from my country in last few weeks. Fortunatelly I have only pennies there. Anyone has the same experience?

Yoshi, no offense, but here http://forum.sbrforum.com/players-ta...tart-time.html you yell at kiwi for arbing some table tennis... are you sure about your mental consistency? why do you think that table tennis is so different to NFL? In my country people know more table tennis and when I asked at locals for NFL they thought it is MLB. I respect, but disagree, if someone tells "shot at line in arb position is scam"; I respect if someone tells arb is only taking good offer, but from your last post I am getting headache.

They are going after the scalpers... These books all get hurt with scalpers at some point and they know this... They are limiting it now that's all... They know when you scalp and when you don't... It's not like it's that hard to determine a scalper with just a brief betting pattern..

I agree 1000000000000% with you on that fact. I say the same thing about bonus whores too though. If book is going to leave themselves wide open to that type of stuff, then they should be prepared to live with the consequences or correct the problems they create on there own.

Thats right shams, but ive heared about players getting limited after 1 big bet.
How do they know that person is a scalper, after 1 bet? They cant.

Its a shit book pattern, other books get scalped too sometimes but they keep the limit at $500 usually.
Of course if you have the worst line manager of all big books, you have no other choice. But thats the reason why i think they are done soon.

Once is coincidence. Twice is suspicious. Three times is enemy action. And if it is your policy, cap him. After one is rather silly. But there's no excuse for 4 minute delays and if you're that slow then you're going to be capping anyone with a clue and half the people without one. "Oh look, I logged in and they had -4, everyone else had -4.5, guess I'll bet here." And there's the cap. I never even bothered opening an account.
