    Went to Yankees-Dodgers last night
Was my first time in the new stadium. Had been to the old one five times over the years it was there.

I did cash with the Yankees at +124 which just about covered the Lyft rides in and out. Rarely go to games so it felt right to throw something on it. Tickets were free from a friend who could not make it, but would have normally been close to $200 each.

Lot of traffic and time in the security line. Will have to leave way earlier next time. Only missed top of the 1st.

Had pretty good seats along first base side in 213. Weather was good but nice having an overhang above in case.

Food prices were a tad high as you’d expect but reasonable considering it’s Yankee Stadium. $8 for an extra long dog. $6 for a 23 oz Poland Spring. Big box of fries was $9 and maybe the best value for anyone super hungry.

Great game and had close to a World Series feel. Nice seeing Judge smash a homer toward the end. Cool seeing Ohtani hit - will be even bigger when he is back pitching.

Honestly those prices are a bit lower than I would have expected there

Haven’t gone to a baseball game in forever. Need to do that again

I like it better than the old stadium.
The men's room back in the day all had these big, long troughs that everybody peed in.
The men's rooms smelled worse than Tessie Dog's after dinner poops I tell you what.

            *True story*

I was hanging a beer leak (I've been sober for five years now) and the men's room was packed.
One dude was pitching a monster loaf in the stall, and it was nasty.

One guy started banging on the stall door almost screaming...
"Yo fella, ever hear of a courtesy flush, you're killing me in here".

Back in the day at the old stadium there was a bowling alley right across the street.
The bar in there sold Bud long neck bottles for two dollars a throw.
The place was packed three deep from two hours before first pitch until like the second inning.

I remember going to Fenway Park for the first time with my dad and older brother. It was about 20 feet long and about 3 men deep. I said, “I’m going into the stall”.

It was amazing the fights in the stands. Yankees and Red Sox. I was hooked. Guys were guzzling beers one in each hand. If a Red Sox fan was getting beat up then the police whacked the Yankee fan with a nightstick and hauled him away. Blood was everywhere. Baseball is the best sport in the world.

Then this Yankee came out to pitch hit and everyone was standing up clapping. I said, “Dad, why are they cheering?”. My dad said, “it’s ok that’s THE MICK”. Mantle looped a single to RF and everyone cheered again. A pinch runner came in and that was the only time I saw Mantle.

                      That's a Great Story !

I had the good fortune to win a race at Pimlico during Preakness week somewhere in the 80's I think and Mickey Mantle was presenting the trophy. My hero of all heroes.
I'm in my 30's, get to shake his hand, and go to say something to him and no words will come out. Lolol. I was in shock I think. And just like that, it was over as he got swarmed by other people.

God I loved baseball ! It got me through my youth and taught me so much.

He must have thought I was an idiot but then again, he probably got that a lot from guys our age.
