RIP. I had to look this up. I knew that Pete died at an eerily similar age, 40 vs 42.

Has to be a big burden to live with the last name of a Superstar. I know that Michael Jordan talked to his sons about being in an impossible situation.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Deion's kid is a nightmare as well.

Conversely, IMO LeBron did a terrific job raising Bronny.

Devastating to see another Maravich leave us so young. Even if he wasn’t a starter like his dad, “Pistol” Pete, he loved LSU so much and carried on his legacy. I’m glad I had the opportunity to see him play.

Anybody see the VICE documentary "Uninterrupted: The real stories of basketball" on Pistol Pete last night.

            It was brilliant.

            Want to hear something freaky?
Pete was interviewed right after leaving LSU, the reporter asked Pete "What are your plans going forward?
Pete told him. "I don't want to play in the NBA for ten seasons and die of a heart attack at 40"

Pete played NBA for ten seasons and then died of a heart attack at aged 40.

VICE interviewed Bill Walton for this series months before he died.
Walton said "Pete was the Elvis of the NBA, people couldn't take their eyes off of him and wanted more"

If the three-point line existed in NCAA when he played the analytical professionals say he would have averaged 57 points a game for his college career.

              That's just sick.
