    Do you know anyone famous?
Ok kids, if you do, let me know because I just got finished writing a fictional novel that is currently being copyrighted, can be adapted as a screenplay and certainly needs to be filled in a bit more as it is only 50,000 words. I know I sound like a complete db soliciting this but there's money to be made and I need to get it to the right person. Just taking a shot here as I will be seeking an agent this spring if my meager efforts don't pay off. It's a unique book with a thread of gambling interwoven. If you have any ideas, I'm all ears.

I have some understanding of what you are going through. I wrote 3 novels in the 90's and got an agent (but was never published). It is difficult, frustrating. I gained a lot of experience at being rejected.

I am not entirely clear why you are asking if people know anyone famous. I would think what you want is a connection to an industry insider, whether that be the publishing or movie industry. But anyway, you asked the question and my answer is no, I don't know anyone particularly famous.

Good luck. Hopefully your novel-with-screenplay-possibilities is better than mine.

Hey Mudcat, congratulations my friend. Do you know how many people are planning on "writing a book someday?" Or are in the process? You've done it and nobody takes that away from you. I have read enough crap that got on the NY Times best sellerlist and think to myself, how in God's name? Also, did you see the Happening with Mark Wahlberg? I actually like Mark Wahlberg (he won't give Pacino, Deniro or Brando any sleepless nights in the pantheon of great actors) and this movie accounted for 2 hours of my life I will never get back. Much of it is dumb luck, so I'm not going to wait for the proverbial knock on the door. I've decided to be abit more brazen and boorish than is my style and just put it out there. You actually got an agent which is no small task so I am sure you wrote something worth reading. I say good for you!

Damn, I better get mine off before Swinging Johnson beats me to it. I've got one almost finished that's also interwoven with a sordid gambling story. See, there's this guy BJ Brown, big time poster on gambling forums, and along with his sidekick Ricky Rambler and Enrique Lochette they get into this bind with a 62-point underdog pulls off the biggest upset in college football history. They've been financing tough times before growing weed out in California with yet a fourth partner, Pedro Scolare, but the medicinal marijuana business has come across some tough times with a few federal crackdowns. And that's just where the hilarity begins.

In a theatre near you this November. Starring Jack Nicholson as BJ Brown, internet poster extraordinaire. Marty Feldman as Ricky Rambler, Peter Loshak as Enrique Lochette, Martin Short as Pedro Scolare, Richard Kiel as Paver Pavinkovits, Mario Batali as Trent Brood, Steve Buscemi as Miss Nevada and Richard Milhouse Nixon as The Prick.

I think you just made the best post of all-time, Willie! I can't stop laughing.

Martin Short, eh? Alright, I can work with that.

Wow Bread, you don't know how flattered I am to be on your list, which I find beyond reproach. It is an honor to spend a college football Saturday with such august company and dear friends. Even the people I don't like on SBR are better than some of the more remarkable members of my locale. I'm not sure what that says about me, or about Albion Village, or even SBR, but it's true nonetheless.

RS we are what we are.

The sooner you latch on to it and embrace it like a pair of 17-year old , the better off you will be.

It is wonderfully, remarkably, undeniably...sad. But goddam it feels good.

I have met a lot of famous people but I only have one on a friendly level. I go to his home, talk to him all the time, I am friends with his kids. Jeff Bridges, he lives 4 miles from me.

Tell Jeff Bridges that I love his "I'm a bit confused and I'm st-st-st-st-stuttering" bit.

                      What an actor.
