February 13 is all about Team Ruff versus Team Fluff, aka the annual Puppy Bowl.

remember when 5dimes would hang a line on this and for a couple weeks it would move up and down 10-14 point both ways as rumors or inside info came out. ah the days. tony smiling somewhere

now I dont see lines or a mention...

true story. My wife and I often foster dogs. Our friend started a rescue that has grown VERY large and is really popular on social media in Chicago. The director called my wife two years ago in Dec or Jan and asked if we would sub foster for a pup while the regular fosters went on vacation in a few weeks if he wasn't adopted yet by that point. We would have been responsible for taking this pup to O'hare and picking him up, because apparently he was going to be in the puppy bowl! She said no, because he absolutely hates that round trip. We could have had a rescue staff member take him or one of us could have gone with him. I was so pissed because I could have actually just flown to NY with him and watched the actual puppy bowl.



I guess I could have still asked around within the org. but I wasn't trying to get outed as a huge degen


edit: wife confirms. Turns out he got adopted before the taping anyways. So his new owners took him I believe.
