The singer and actor, real name Michael Lee Aday, had become outspoken about COVID — ripping lockdowns and mask mandates last August in one of his last interviews.
“If I die, I die, but I’m not going to be controlled,” the rocker told The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
He noted a new report at the time saying that “the masks we’re all wearing are useless.”
“They don’t stop you from getting COVID. They’re just a nuisance and make your nose itch and make it so you can’t breathe.”
“But I’ve known that for six months. They don’t do anything,” he said.
He complained about “a Nazi” who shouted “Get your mask on now!” while he was on a plane, griping, “They’re power-mad now.”
In May, he posted a clip of Eric Clapton and Van Morrison’s anti-lockdown song, “Stand & Deliver,” writing, “Listen and Learn.”
most of his posts have been about the right to “keep on rockin’ in the free world,” quoting the Neil Young song.

That is what you always do when asked to provide proof of something you said. You can't prove it, so you double down. There is no proof he wasn't vaccinated and none that he would have lived if he was. Vaccinated people die also. More people have died from Covid in the US since there were vaccines than before. 75% of all covid deaths have 4 or more comorbidities. He probably was vaccinated. We don't know. I'm an American. I'm neither repub or dem (even though these idiots here call me dem). But I disagree. I think the government on a national, state and local level MUST dictate what it's citizens can and cannot do. Because unfortunately, Americans are not wise enough to protect themselves. We have to have social security because most Americans are horrible at finance. The great majority of Covid deaths prove that with so many GoFundMes just to pay funeral costs. Hell, Meatloaf himself was bankrupt financially and probably the real reason he didn't want lockdowns. He needed the work.
We have to require people have car insurance because they are too irresponsible. They have to wear seatbelts and helmets because they are too dumb. We require kids to have series of shots because dumb parents won't do it themselves to help their own kids. How is the Covid vaccine any different? Every day we have 1,300 Americans dying from this totally preventable disease. Yet, you still think the government shouldn't step in? All while business keep closing because their workers are sick, insurance prices going up because of so many sick and dead people, hospitals overrun because of these Covidiots, supply chains disrupted because we have a worker crunch. WE ALL PAY BECAUSE OF THESE DUMB ASSES. While on one hand I don't like the government in my business. The other hand realizes that this country is full of people with mental health issues that fukk it up for everyone else.

I've changed my views. At first I said it should be voluntary but once it became clear that people are not dealing with a full deck and the politics have twisted and divided this country. We need to have mandates, be it from the government, private companies, etc. to protect people from themselves. It's to the point where it's cruel to let these people hurt themselves and their families.
I was good friends with Derrick Thomas. I was at his last home Chiefs game where we had a huge party. His momma and Andre Rison's mom could cook up some meals. We had a great weekend. A few weeks later him and another friend were both dead in a car crash. Neither had on a seatbelt which would have saved their lives. The 3rd friend who survived had on a seatbelt. So, yeah, personal freedom but to what extent? But Derrick's death probably saved more lives than imagined. His mom got hundreds of letters later of people who lives were saved because they finally put on a seatbelt. Lamar Hunt's wife, never wore a seatbelt until Derrick died. She got in a serious car accident a few months later and survived. Derrick was a good businessman. He knew how to make money outside of football. Once he died, his family ran through that money with a quickness. His death was totally avoidable.Comment -
