I agree, what we need is a new Gold storyline. How about a move, Coach? Some of my favorite days on SBR were back in your Silver Sevens days!

Or a new Corbin video at the very least.

What's next, Trob going to start a "how much wood are you sporting down there"?

Kidding, Trob is growing on me, he's AOK (in a perverted sort of way)

This. Also, having an income stream definitely takes the pressure off to always need to win making your chances of not betting with scared money and actually able to give a real honest go

I say don't quit, make them fire you. Employers are desperate for employees and will put up with more shyt than usual. So go ahead you were going to quit anyway so show up a couple of hours late, half drunk and then use your time to handicap while there. You can probably get a few more weeks than that 2 week notice thing.

I'm semi retired now and my phone is ringing off the hook.
Indeed is sending me like eight e-mails a day "Nasher, would you be interested in this opportunity" and so forth.

Made only 15k this year sports betting, still living off previous years of winnings & Bitcoin profits. It’s not a glamorous life at this level. Most I ever made in a calendar year was 60k in 2018.

That would be the worse decision ever made after a mega millions jackpot hit ….

This one might be the Worst Yet.

                                                Cmon, coach. Do better:

                                                1) First off, it's a super-hard almost-superhuman task to beat the House.

                                                2) Even worse idea in 2022. Days of hi-inflation. Much better to buckle down, work hard, earn some investment income. Try to stay ahead of the game.

And JJ, stop with the bullshit posts.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Don’t really want to share an unfurnished apartment with 4 other guys and line my pockets with aluminum foil to steal deserts from the casino buffet… so no, I won’t be quitting anytime soon.

Me, sure, I've been there, well, more like in a mild state and not fulltime so much. A few months, say 3 months, yep.
                                                      Things you will need:

A lot of available cash, also, a lifestyle of living as a loner and maybe, no insurance on your health or life, but you better have.
If you win, your Book or any of the others, too, will despise you and try to find a way to mess you up, well, I mean your winning gambling methods; If another gambler hear's you are winning large, the word will probably get out, so, guys wagering in your same casino, or local joints, will probably not like you, well, unless you have an outgong personality and flaunt your wins. Even then, they will be a bunch that will habitually beg you to give them some possible winners, or the other possibility, they'll resent you for winning while they usually lose most often? And many are simply born-losers?
The strees can be unbelievable and overbearing, and that can give you many sleepless nights. And if you're on a winning roll, or even the opposite, you will have to stay on the prowl of finding another win?

You must keep that winning edge too, and it's likely on your miind each and every day, running throughout your brain? Studying and looking for the best lines, plus, trying to see what changes are simply bs, or, a hot play you must jump on, pronto, and before the line changes or the game starts? Many times, when you see or hear of a hop-tip, it looks so good, you may not find a Book soon enough to get down? And if they change those lines, quickly--boy do they nowadays--then you fast-break to a phone or Book-Joint and quicky scan those lines to see if you're lucky enough to get that hot-bet down. Or the other scenaio that happens with so many, Hot-Tips, lose, even though you did everything just right, and all that stress and money was all for nothing.
Of course, most of us have portable laptops to carry around. And that's a must, along with the nuisance it can be, too.

Stress such as this above, can mentally-break many gamblers, or the other thing, break you financially, too? You must also have dependable transportation. No wife and kigs are allowed, either. Because that would be gambling-suicide, because of the little time for your family and the other maybe, most important; not enough time to study and to keep your brain clear and functioning properly, so you can stay sharp?

Girlfriends, sure, if you don't mind being a sugar daddy? They will want more attention than you are capable of giving. Also, they might cheat on you, or do the other, the most likely, spend money as if was tap-water and simply be a nuisance, while costing you hours of study-time on your professional job, that, being a fulltime gambler?

These's plenty more to add, but right I am rather busy.
I may edit a few more ideas about the hazards of undertaking the life as a pro-gambler?

                                                        Cmon, coach. Do better:

                                                        1) First off, it's a super-hard almost-superhuman task to beat the House.

                                                        2) Even worse idea in 2022. Days of hi-inflation. Much better to buckle down, work hard, earn some investment income. Try to stay ahead of the game.

And JJ, stop with the bullshit posts.
The more we tell him to quit the bullshit posts the more he posts them. He things it is still 2005 and people come here for traffic to read about his rug or his $1.50 bets. If he doesn't change his schtick soon they may send him to BMR permanently.

^^^ Quite a few guys here in the exact same position. Not really enough to make a good life, but enough to scrape by and keep spending 40+ hours a week focused on betting and not having to work.

Personally I think that anyone who is sharp enough to profit every year sports betting is probably better off scaling back to risking what their income can actually support, cut your capping hours in half, and use that spare 20+ hours to at least set up some sort of side hustle you can reply upon for income. Plenty of things a sharp/smart type can do with that 20 hours that does not require sweating or taking a job you don't like.

Then you will have life balance, more time on your hands, feel way richer day to day, and probably enjoy your betting a lot more too.
