Cincy should have lost during regulation time. Gould pushed the game winner wide right. No bad beat here.
Bengals +2.5 has to be the new worst beat of the year.

The Browns have scored 7 total points in their last 8 fourth quarters combined. 7
I counted my Browns play as a winner in the 1st quarter. What a kick in the nuts. ClownsComment -

#44The overtime rules that the NFL currently plays under were implemented in 1974.
So we're talking 56 years (pre 2021)
There's been 574 overtime games of which 27 of them ended up in a tie (that includes this years Lions game).
Of the 574 overtime games only three have ended with a safety,
Now for the fun part.
I need to access the game logs for those 574 games.
Or call up every season from 1974 onward.
I know where to get the point spreads,
I'll be back.Comment -

Well spank my ass and call me father Christmas, I stand corrected.
Original overtime rules, like I stated were implemented in 1974, but yes, as the astute poster just pointed out, they have been tweaked since then.
When a NFL game ends in a tie, the game continues with overtime. Overtime commences with a coin toss. The visiting team captain calls the toss. The winner of the toss can choose whether to receive the kick or to kick off, or the team winning the toss can choose which goal to defend. If [more]

#47My pal, Nasher... on THIS we can agree (I'm pretty certain). This hot Canadian tart released this song last month, it's hot off the presses; I'm certain we'd both very much enjoy biting Avril, OR, vice versa, natch. I've always found her hawt... but we'd have to beat MilwaukeeMike off with a stick to get to her 1st.
(And she's obviously a SBR reader and LOVES ME!)

Hey you, you should've known better
Better to fukk with someone like me
Hey you, forever and ever you're gonna wish I was your wifey
Don't act so innocent
This was no accident
You planned this in the end
And now it's over
Say what you want to say
You lied and I got played
You threw it all away
And now it's over
Just face it
We didn't make it
You bit off more than you can chew
Can you taste it?
Hey you, you should've known better
Better to fukk with someone like me
Hey you, forever and ever you're gonna wish I was your wifey
Should've held on, should've treated me right
I gave you one chance, you don't get it twice
Hey you, and we'll be together never, so baby you can bite me
Don't hold your breath
'Cause you're still choking on your words
Those things you said
Might be the last ones that I heard
So come pick up your clothes from the front yard
Sprinklers on burn, the rest in the backyard
Should've had the guts just to say goodbye
Now you're gonna have regrets for the rest of your life
Just face it
We didn't make it
You bit off more than you can chew
Can you taste it?
Hey you, you should've known better
Better to penetrate with someone like me
Hey you, forever and ever you're gonna wish I was your wifey
Should've held on, should've treated me right
I gave you one chance, you don't get it twice
Hey you, and we'll be together never, so baby you can bite me
I bet you taste me on the tip of your tongue
Tip of your tongue, tip of your tongue
I fell fast when I know I shoulda run
Know I shoulda run, know I shoulda run
I bet you taste me on the tip of your tongue
Tip of your tongue, tip of your tongue
I fell fast when I know I shoulda run
Know I shoulda run, know I shoulda run
Hey you, you should've known better
Better to penetrate with someone like me (like me)
Hey you, forever and ever you're gonna wish I was your wifey
Should've held on, should've treated me right (yeah, yeah, yeah)

#49I tend to disagree.
The spot was +2.5.
You come back from 11 down at the half to tie with two fourth quarters scores.
Go to o/t you kick the FG with 6:00 mins left (with the spot you're up 5.5)
The only thing that can dick you is a late o/t TD, and that's pretty rare.
That's a real bad beat IMOComment -

#50Avril is crazy about me, Jake! So obvious... she named a song after me!! Screw Mike... she probably avoids even going to Milwaukee... she wants nothing to do w/him!!!
I'm guessing what turned Avril on so much, and inspired her to write the song, is her reading my constant BURIALS of Rudy -- hawt chicks like her enjoy their man curb-stomping a numbnut like Ruby.

#54No chance this is a bad beat. Imagine having Northern Ill/Chicago St under 126 right about now. They combined for 40 in the last 4 minutes to get to 129. The game was played at a snails pace up until that point, wasnt sure it would hit 100. I will say I had Northern Ill +1 as a pretty sizable play. Chicago St as a fav against anyone is laughableComment -

Thanks guys.
I classify that game as a bad beat, guess not.
Thanks for the input.
My thought process was and is, if you have a ticket +2.5, kick a FG to go up 3 (+5.5 ATS) in o/t and then lose outright, considering it's sudden death with 6:00 left, that's a bade beat.
No?
Thanks for the input, refreshing to be corrected without being spammed, trolled, and peppered with a thousand "Dumb shits"

#65What was your first if you don't mind me asking? By the way, check out the espn article on why the Bills should have gone for 2 with 9+ minutes to go (fairly obvious) and with 4+ min (not as much), it gives great reasoning again on how the 2 just isn't that risky, big picture, and people still don't go for it as much as they should. Especially now that a 30 yard PAT is a big time conversion rate, but not a guarantee at all, see this thread.Comment -

I wish, since they just decreased the time to 10:00 anyway, that they would just play the full 10 minutes, and if it's a tie, it's a tie. Just play it out like it's a real game though, all the way.Comment
