This is not a homer play !. Seriously. Last year I did two wright-ups involving Maryland hoops and football,and both were on why MD will not cover ! ( 2-0) To the point I have a passion for the Terps but my passion to make money is greater.
This Iowa team is very good and being realistic they can win this game! This D is very good, in 24 out of the last 26 games,they have held their opponent to 24 points or less.The weakness for the Hawkeyes is on offense,the MD qb averages more passing yards per game (364) than the Iowa offense (291) Iowa has very good special teams,and their punt/kick off guy gets a lot of yardage. The Iowa D will have have a hard time bull rushing the MD offense. And this is my main point. This MD OB has many very skilled players at the skilled positions.The MD QB is off the charts with talent,he has started only 8 games and is getting better and better. He throws down field alot and has a 75 % completion rate. But the real difference is his ability to read defenses,his reads are quick and many times he lets the defense dictate what he will do. Out of the many offensive formations Maryland is able to have many tangents or variables to each......it will create problems for the Iowa defense. The MD D is solid and leads the Big10 in sackes and has a talented secondary. If MD goes ahead a few scores.it will be very hard for the Iowa O to catch up. The culture and product on the field will surprise many,this is a team that can beat #5 Iowa...and next week beat Ohio St ( OK a long shot )....MARYLAND +3.5...2 UNITS................................... ..........gl
