But Newton did miss 3 team practices due to a vaccine 'misunderstanding'.

Belichick says vax status had nothing to do with it, and the number of vaxxed coaches and staff
who have been vaccinated is high. Notice this doesn't change the status of Cole Popovich, who was
let go as co-offensive line coach because he wouldn't get the vax. There is a mandate but not for players.

I like the kid. he's a hard worker and is very smart. He was checking down plays, calling line blocking schemes, running the offense like a veteran. I am very excited to watch the Patriots now. They have a very good team. They were hit hard with Covid last year and players opting out. Now, those players are back and they are stacked. This team is flying under the radar. BB knows that that is against the NFLPA. Unfortunately, Urban Meyer might be in hot water for not knowing this as he admitted that vaccination status was a factor in cutting players. Jacksonville is one of the lowest vaxxed teams in the league btw.
