I wouldn't blindly do anything, and that includes fading the public, but the Bucs price tag is a bit steep. What if the Cowboys hadn't had all those injuries on the offensive line last year and Dak had stayed healthy as well? What if the Saints hadn't let the Bucs off the hook in the divisional round of the playoffs? The entire narrative entering this game would be completely different.

I know those are hypotheticals but it's a fine line when you try to cut through the noise and assess teams as objectively as possible. Giving a team as talented as Dallas (at least on the offensive side of the ball) over a touchdown on opening night isn't my idea of a layup.

Not just this game but in general this season in NFL and the other major American sports, we're going to see juice on the favorites like never before in history. They are talking about 40 million Americans betting on NFL. Most of these people have never made a bet on sports in their lives.

It's like the new pot users. These previously shunned and illegal activities are now mainstream.
