The US softball team didn't score a run against a horrible Japan team in the medal game and no one is outraged because the team is 95% white.
But if a black athlete doesn't medal the SBR racists are outraged!
Are you serious Pavy? Japan just won the game. No disgrace in losing to a better team that day. But quitting? WTF? Do your fukking job. If the softball team didn’t show up and play because they didn’t feel they could perform, we would be roasting them too. I could care less Biles is black. She’s representing the USA. She took a spot on the team. She should be permanently banned from representing the US. What if more athletes pull the same stunt? Decide to not run in the 4 by 4 relay? What she did was borderline criminal. She stole a spot and deprived her teammates from gold.

No one even knows the name of one player on the US softball team, so no one cares.

She didn't steal a spot. If the team didn't have her in this or previous Olympics they wouldn't have won gold medals. I believe there is more to the story that we don't know. I think it has to do with the sexual abuse she suffered and the fact that the US gymnastics team didn't do anything to prevent it or punish anyone so she feels they dont deserve her helping them to win gold. She is not mad at the teammates. She is mad at US Gymnastics committee.

Permanently banned? Cmon man you don’t have a clue what’s going on in her life. She’s represented this country and won 27 medals and you wanna judge her just on this. She stayed and cheered on her teammates because maybe the pressure got to her or whatever. She did what was best for herself and the team. You’re acting like she committed a murder. The girl had the pressure of the world on her and didn’t handle it. She’s 24 years old and nobody knows what she’s dealing with. Let’s not act like she deserves scorn. It’s women’s gymnastics for Christ sake.

Disagree 100.... the win-at-all cost culture is rewarding the wrong thing. Simone Biles is more important than the outcome of a gymnastic event, including the olympics.
Her teammates should not be furious with her and feom what I read, they're not. Yet you are and thats some weird shit to me. You care more than the actual athletes themselves.
Biles has 4 olympic gold medals, a silver and a bronze. 6 fukking olympic medals and you're gonna sit around your house on a keyboard and throw shade her way bc she doesn't place winning ahead of her own health. You're wrong man, and maybe you'll go to the grave with your beliefs but I hope not.

She's being celebrated for quitting. What if an NFL QB started the game with a pick in the 1st Q, made a couple bad throws, then told the coaches, "I don't have it today, I'm going to sit out the rest of the game". I'm sure that would go over real well with his teammates and he would be vilified by the press.

Think how many times you wish qb’s would have done that instead of staying in and throwing 5 picks

She is a black and could not stand the fact that the Russian girls are better than she is. Typical Black athlete. They get what they can, and then run out like the real chicken s**ts they are when the going gets tough. She is a disgrace.

Kraken. I never said Biles was not important but you are contradicting yourself. She quit because she was sucking not because she was mentally ill. Would she have quit if she was scoring 10s? Hell no. She only quit because she wasn't performing well. She was the one that wanted to win at all cost, even the cost of quitting. She could have continued, even if she would have failed and the US didn't medal. I would have applauded her if she messed up but I cannot ever approve of quitting. NEVER! Not like that.
Why did Biles appear to have tweaked her ankle or hamstring? Why did she try to appear injured? That was very disingenuous to me. Sure, I'm on a keyboard. I would never throw shade on her in person. I would be polite and not even mention meaningless gymnastics if I met her. I'm not furious with her. I don't care about gymnastics and I don't care how many medals she's won. She quit on her teammates and herself. They'll never, ever say it but they are pissed. The alternate gymnast that lost a spot because of her is furious too. Imagine our brave men that fought in wars leaving their bunker because they were scared???
I'm sorry but you are wrong on this. There is no "I" in team and she let her fears get in the way of the team.

Have you considered that her mental state was part of the reason she sucked? Clearly she has the skill. Don’t compare this to war. It’s not life or death. I’m sure if she had to swing from the bars to avoid a bullet she could

Have you ever played team sports? How about coach team sports? What would you do if your star kicker walked off the football field in a playoff game because he didn't want to play? Could you ever trust him again? Another kid had to come off the bench to win the game. Would you then start that kicker the next game? Hell no. That kid would be benched and most likely kicked off the team. NFL teams would put him on waivers that same day. Do your fukking job. Don't sign up for the job if you can't do it. You are taking someone else's spot. Hell no, we don't want you on the bench cheering. Go check into a hospital if you have issues.
Pressure of the world?? WTF? She's a gymnast, not building rockets for Nasa. You said it best. She did what was best for her. Totally selfish act. You just said it's gymnastics which doesn't mean much but now she's solving world hunger??? We should never, ever reward quitting.

I’ve played sports my entire life. If someone is having mental issues, id rather they be off the floor. They are costing the team.
She was the face of the Olympics. It’s a lot of pressure. I’m not gonna kill a 24 yr old for struggling to handle the pressure. She has won many medals for this country and you don’t judge a person by one moment. That’s not how it’s done.
It’s not rewarding quitting. You’re looking at this completely wrong. Think of it this way….auto donk and trump would say the exact same things you are saying….that should be enough to make you rethink your position.

I'm not buying it. She was all smiles and giggles getting to Japan, warming up and performing. Once she had a bad routine, then another, then another, she started walking with a limp and then quit. The only thing hurt was her pride. I am pretty sure that she could do her routines in her sleep. She just chose not to continue. A lot of people in the US will experience mental health in their lifetime. 1 in 5. I'm not downing mental illness. I'm just not going to reward quitting. Not when the going gets tough.

I've played sports including D1 college football. I ran track and know what it's like with your balls in your throat before a big race. I know what it's like not wanting the ball to come your way in crunch time. I hated the high jump but our team needed the points. You play for your team? Stop thinking about yourself and think of your team. Work your ass off for your team. Bleed, sweat, cry for your team. Compete for your team. I'm not killing her, we are debating in a gambling forum. Of course I can judge the actions of another person. You are judging in favor. I'm not in favor of quitting unless you are injured physically. I do not care how many medals she's won. She could have been Suzy nobody. YOU DO NOT QUIT ON YOUR TEAM. Then for people to reward that selfish behavior? I can't do it.
I'm neither left or right. I can agree or disagree with Trump and Donk on many things. Donk and I agree on most things actually. It's just a few things we differ. I think for myself.

Totally agree. She should have dropped out of the competition BEFORE the qualifying rounds if she was having mental problems. She waited until she wasn't performing up to her standards to then quit by saying she wasn't mentally ready. That is cowardly IMO, not brave and not heroic. The media won't ever say it but that's the truth.

I don't give a fvvk what your issue is you go and do your best. Maybe your best is affected by your mental state or physical state but you TRY. Never quit.
