They are in San Fran. They left Oakland last year.
In 36 months liberal Bastian Oakland CA has lost 3 major sports franchises, wiping out over $2.5billion in value from its community along with $700mm in operating payrolls.

My suggestion is between The M and SouthPoint.....and of course, retractable.
As far as the NBA, my hope is it never comes to Vegas, but probably will before 2028.

Oakland A's to follow Raiders to Vegas?
Rob Manfred talks A's future in Oakland, possible Las Vegas move
Here’s what Rob Manfred had to say Tuesday regarding the A’s future.
“Las Vegas is a viable alternative for a major league club, and there are other viable alternatives that I haven’t turned the A’s loose to even explore at this point," Manfred said Tuesday when speaking with the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
"Thinking about this as a bluff is a mistake. This is the decision point for Oakland as to whether they want to have major league baseball going forward.”

Isn't this more or less a done deal for a while now? They are talking to move to Vegas for years.

Oakland City Council has a vote scheduled for Tuesday (July 20th) to try to pressure the politicians.
Mayor Schaaf has claimed that several of the alternates besides Las Vegas are Canadian cities.
I wonder if they have consulted the Blue Jays?
Or even the Nationals (Expos).
The Giants are happy.

Oakland is the best thing going. You just run out a small payroll team and collect your money from the big market teams and make money. If you can get some taxpaying suckers to give you a free stadium, all the better.

Not a chance. A's & Raiders were at odds with each other when they were both in Oakland. Mark Davis hates A's
Raiders owner Mark Davis criticized the Oakland Athletics front office in an interview with The Athletic on Thursday, saying things have been far from cordial since the team broke its lease and announced plans to move to Las Vegas. As the Raiders are slated to officially leave Oakland after the 2019 campaign and begin their future in Vegas, the A's have made a variety of changes to the Coliseum that are better equipped for baseball than football. Among them: The organization added theater boxes, lounge seats and terrace tables more suited for baseball games than football. Ultimately, the new stadium configurations displaced 2,500 Raiders season ticketholders. Davis said having to share the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum with the A's has been frustrating.
"Unfortunately, there’s a problem there, Davis said. "As far as the players and everybody, we love the A’s. We seriously do. But the front office has been real (expletives). They’ve been really (expletive) around with us up there, taking advantage of the situation. Which, it is their right to do it, but it makes it hard. Again, though, we love the players, we love the A’s." The A's are trying to purchase Alameda County's share of the Coliseum site for $85 million. The long-term goal of the club would be to use revenue from stadium upgrades to pay for a proposed stadium at the Howard Terminal site near the Oakland waterfront. But the city of Oakland has also expressed interest in ownership.

Why wouldn't the Giants be happy?
They have the best record in baseball.
Even if the Giants lose tonight and the second best team wins, they still have the best record in baseball.

condo transfer tax sticking point in Oakland's term sheet
A's team president Dave Kaval explained to NBC Sports California's Brodie Brazil and Dave Stewart on Friday why the city's term sheet doesn't work for the A's.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">.<a href="https://twitter.com/DaveKaval?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@davekava l</a> explains why the A's don't like the Oakland City Council's term sheet <a href="https://t.co/nLCs6nAk2o">pic.twitter.com/nLCs6nAk2o</a></p>— A's on NBCS (@NBCSAthletics) <a href="https://twitter.com/NBCSAthletics/status/1416208181378920453?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" >July 17, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
"Well, it's really a step backwards," Kaval said on "A's Pregame Live" on Friday. "It lacks any details on who pays for the off-site infrastructure. It has additional taxing measures like the condo transfer tax. So we remain pretty far apart with the city with only a couple days to go before the vote on the 20th. So I think we're really hopeful at this point that the city council votes on our proposal that we made public in April, and that would be a great path forward for the new waterfront ballpark."

Commentary: Time for Rob Manfred to save baseball in Oakland, or go down trying
In 2013, Angels owner Arte Moreno was frustrated, too. He had agreed with negotiators for the city of Anaheim on a ballpark project, but the mayor torpedoed it. Moreno bided his time, helped elect a mayor and city councilmembers who shared his vision, and got the deal done.
In 2017, Dave Kaval, the A’s president, and owner John Fisher announced they would build a new ballpark on community college land in downtown Oakland. The A’s had not lined up support. The mayor said she disliked the idea. The college governing body rejected it.
Major League Baseball leveraged the threat of the A’s moving to Las Vegas to force the Oakland council to schedule a vote. The next step, as Commissioner Rob Manfred made crystal clear last week, could be to set the A’s free to explore other relocation options from coast to coast, and into Canada.
“I am committed to Oakland as a major league site,” Manfred said in 2016. “If we were to leave Oakland, I think 10 years from now, we would be more likely than not looking backward, saying we made a mistake.”
Manfred ought to focus on Oakland, where the mayor does not vote and some members of the council have complained about a lack of communication from the A’s. Kaval has gotten the project to third base. Perhaps Manfred can get it all the way home.

Scott Boras explains
“I think the A’s are in a position where they’re trying to get their stadium figured out, and until they do I’m not sure where they want to go with players,” Boras said Monday to the San Francisco Chronicle's Matt Kawahara.
On Tuesday morning, the Oakland City Council is set to vote on a nonbinding term sheet for the A’s proposed $12 billion waterfront ballpark and development project. Team president Dave Kaval has made it clear it's Howard Terminal or bust for the A's, who could be seeking relocation out of Oakland if it doesn't work out. The A's have played at the Oakland Coliseum since 1968.
