Good point Laker but usually the top 2 or 3 teams in a conference are fairly equal. Usually 1 team is getting better with newer teammates, while another team is getting older. In the last 20 years the 2 seed made the Finals more than half the time at 11. The number one only made it 5. The Number 3 and number 5 only made it once and the number 4 made it twice. A lot had to do with a lot of teams creating their big 3 with the Pistons, Celtics and Heat. But I mentioned the Lebron factor because over a 12 year period, his teams were in the mix for first place in the conference. Lebron notoriously took games off and load managed. It could be a huge advantage Shady, especially when teams aren't use to fans in the stands and now some arenas are getting some fans back. Utah for example will have 70% capacity, they've been the highest since the pandemic. That is a HUGE advantage over the rest of the field. The list below seems to be updated but things are changing day to day. Boston TD Garden had 10% fans the list below says 11% but I heard they are now at 25% for the playoff tomorrow??? I'm not sure what the real number is but 5,000 fans in a closed arena could give an emotional boost. At least a few points in my opinion. The Pacers should have about 4.5k fans. I like the Clippers to go deep in the playoffs. Indiana is losing Caris Levert for 10 days, Covid protocol. That's a huge loss. Plus Brogdon is a game time decision.
