They had beast mode in his prime, one of the most physical running backs in nfl history. game stats for marshawn lynch was 24 carries for the game, 4.3 yards per carry, and they were on the 1 yard line.

and looking back it was 2nd down and they had a timeout. that clues me in to i think pete carroll thought if there was in int they could run beast mode twice. if that makes any sense.
