Well that escalated quickly. Maybe he should have kept Hurts in the game after all.

#6Yeah, he upset more people than he ever could imagine with that stunt. It was turning into an epic game and then he took the air out of the building. He would have been better telling everyone that he was sitting Hurts for the entire game.Comment -

#10I think he was arrogant to begin with and then became insufferable after he won the SB
I have read he is that "smartest guy in the room" type guy who went off the deep end
You can see it in his in game decisions
He went from being aggressive to being completely reckless and insane
I just watched his protege, Frank Reich, single handedly lose a playoff game to the Bills even though the Colts completely outplayed them
Reckless decisions and stupid play calling in critical moments
Outsmart yourself type of personality
I think Pederson lost the locker room a while ago, but the stunt against Washington was the last straw
I honestly don't think he will win anywhere else, but who knowsComment -

#12Howie Rosemann is the bigger problem in Philadelphia, they drafted Reggie over Jefferson, had trash linebackers, the team had huge issues at receiver for the second year in a row. Pederson deserved to be fired but he isn’t the biggest problem in Philadelphia.Comment -

#15Doug stinks but Howie Roseman is worse. This idiot gets to pick his 3rd coach as he botches every draft. Doug was just a puppet and had no control over any decisionComment -

Doug Pederson
HC
Unsigned Free Agent
DOB (Age): 1/31/1968 (52) HT/WT: 6' 3" / 222 lbs. Drafted: N/A
PLAYER NEWS
DOUG PEDERSONHC, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
Eagles fired HC Doug Pederson.
Attached to the hip with former first-round quarterback Carson Wentz,
owner Jeffrey Lurie decidedly sided with righting Wentz over keeping Pederson
after five seasons and a win in Super Bowl LII. Wentz’s relationship with Pederson
was reportedly “fractured beyond repair," leading the 28-year-old backup to demand
a trade from the team after he threw a league-high 15 interceptions and took an NFL-high
50 sacks.
Pederson's suggestions to "improve the coaching staff" this offseason obviously fell
on deaf ears. The organization will instead make a number of changes at the top following
a 42-37-1 regular-season tenure (and three playoff appearances) under Pederson.
The latter meanwhile has already been linked to the Jets' head coaching vacancy
given his public friendship with GM Joe Douglas. The Eagles tried to interview
Chiefs QBs coach Mike Groh during last year's coaching cycle and could go back
to that well immediately if Andy Reid allows it.

#21Pederson had to have been just following orders. But the optics and fallout is why he's getting fired anyway
NFL really screwed him over flexing the game into primetime. If just another afternoon game, he probably still has his job todayComment -

#23Let's not confuse a good coach and a coach who's had success. Peterson is just an aggressive coach who had success. But not very good overall. He's basically a swing trader.Comment -

#26He needs to learn how to handle press conferences before he takes another job. His pre and postgame answers to the press are the worst ever in the history of mankind. He makes trump tolerable. He is either lying or backtracking or too sarcastic when he answers questions. He is the face of the organization and he looks and acts like pinochio.Comment -

Exactly! All this bs about analytics. Give me a break. Did Tom Landry use analytics?? How about Bill Walsh? Or Jimmie Johnson? Its a joke. You dont go for it on 4th down from the 5 with a gimme fg. And you dont go for 2 in the first qtr. Reich was atrocious on Sat. And Pedersen does the same crapComment -

Turay going off-sides when Bills were never going to snap ball on a 4th and 3... lead to Bills TD instead of FG for a 10-10 tie at half
Kicker missing a short field goal in the 3rd
couple bad drops by Taylor on 2nd downs that lead to 3rd down and long
going for 2 in a 16-24 game when bills penalty put them on the 1 yard line and running taylor into a 9 man bills run blitz
coach wasting a timeout on that play where bills RB got hurt and fumbled ball after his kneel was CLEARLY down you could tell after 1 look at a replay
needed that timeout late in the gameComment -

#34Owner explained a lot of things especially how they sucked in the draft. He said “you can’t always get the guy you want in the draft”. Now this fuk acts like the guys they wanted were all drafted before the guys they tookHoly fuk some of these owners are clueless. The real story is how the fuk are most teams in all of sports clueless when it comes to talent evaluation. I hear the Eagles were thinking of drafting the heisman trophy winner but the have an eye on this kid from South Dakota State they hear runs really fast and can jump over a car.
