About time this dumb motherfukker woke up. NYS lost lots of revenue to NJ and offshore.
If it wasn’t for Covid, we’d be waiting a few more years

It was hilarious while it lasted. I had coworkers from NYC who would drive across the bridge or tunnel to bet the games. For like a 15$ toll.

I will probably still use offshore too.
All these new sites that get approved will be throwing sign up bonuses at us like they did in NJ.

Same deal here in Wisconsin - Money flowing to Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan. Up to the tribal casinos to step up more than the Guv. With no table games for the past 9 months, you'd think they would at least consider it...

Finally Cuomo did something right, by 2030 probably every state has legal gambling.

By the time it's voted on and implemented. Trevor Lawrence will have won his second super bowl.

Absolutely abhorrent that Cuomo would allow this.. Doesn't he know that 90% of gamblers are net losers and he's gonna be creating a whole host of new problems.(insert Sarcasm)..Never mind the fact the lottery (documented 99.98% net losers) is perfectly legal in NY.

The dumbest part is, I have to get back from NY into NJ to make a bet every weekday.
One side of the bridge "No".......other side "Yes". lol

Yup...but then you won't be able to claim them if you had made an account in NJ already. They make you use same accounts at many of them. So dumb.

Probably not. Online poker is a different gaming issue.

I only created 1 in NJ and that was William Hill.
I waited on the others as I knew eventually they’d be in NY offering bonuses. Since I’m not close to NJ, I didn’t want to open other accounts because I wouldn’t be in NJ long enough to receive the bonus/rollover.

I see the problems at the Indian casinos near Syracuse. Only have to be 18 there. Since they started taking sports bets, the place is full of high school and college kids. They remind me of myself at that age. These kids will be gambling addicts in no time at all!

I haven’t heard anything about CT
I believe the only gambling is at the Indian casinos.
No sports betting at all. At least in NYS, you can go to casinos to place sports bets.

Hopefully nothing. Legal sportsbooks are for losers. Much rather not risk what we already have.

Cuomo just announced that he wants to run sports betting like the lottery. He wants the state to receive all the proceeds. Casinos will not be running the mobile betting.

LOL!
Just living in New York (unless you're a native) is enough of a gamble as it is. I worked there for some years in my younger days. Great experience but could never do it again.
