It should be. JaMarcus Russell had more upside than him.

Maybe this will be a wake up call for the young man. He needs to decide whether he wants to play football or not...soul searching time.

The last 6 Ohio St QBs drafted have sucked or been moved to wide receiver so why would teams be wanting to draft Justin Fields??? Guy is definitely not NFL Qb material

Until he learns how to throw the ball accurately, which he won't, he's going nowhere. I can't understand why teams draft QB's who haven't learned the fundamentals of throwing correctly; if someone hasn't learned that by the age of 21, after playing football for ten years, they probably never will.

Trams just wasting time + money on black qbs.
McNair, McNabb, Cunningham, looks like Mahomes the only ones that ever did their team justice. 3 if those 4 very disappointing careers, Mahomes ceiling could be limitless thou- he gets it.
Will the owners + GMs ever learn?

I dont feel sorry for him he reminded me of geno smith on draft day sulking because he hadnt been drafted yet as picks were being announced. then gets an opportunity and doesnt hold up, prob didnt have a good o-line but should have been more humble

Haskins is a perfect example of why owners are not scouts or GM’s

He may have a secret deal with Jerry Jones to sign with them next year. Part of the deal would have been to lose the game for Washington yesterday to benefit Dallas.

LOL. Those guys would all be No. 1 picks if the NFL had it to do over again.
Haskins never really even played college football. He was a project.

?? They were all #1 picks/ 1st rounders. (RC might gave been early 2nd). Wilson off list because he was late 3rd round gamble.
My point was- the idea of a 1st round franchise black QB (Haskins was 15th overall) is a fukki g fantasy. The fortitude, mentality and patience required at the position is why only guys that s or astronomical on the aptitude tests or who exhibit extreme resourcefulness exceed at it.

What's your opinion on the following 1st round picks?
Paxton Lynch
Christian Ponder
Josh Rosen
Johnny Manziel
Blaine Gabbert
Tim Tebow
Brandon Weeden
Jake Locker
Mark Sanchez
Blake Bortles
Sam Bradford

They would all be drafted with the top pick. Those guys were elite QBs and had great careers.
Cunningham was the single most unprepared QB for the NFL I have ever seen. He was not even a second rounder but an incredible arm and great athlete.
Haskins was just a dumb pick. But he was huge and had a great arm and that guy gets drafted in the first round every time. Coaches are suckers for those guys.
He was damn impressive at Ohio State playing with no experience. You have to take your chance.

Yes...Absolutely, play the race card here.
It has nothing to do with behavior, performance nor poor choices on and off the field
The NFL has quite the pay discrepancy for players depending upon the individual's
racial make-up.

Warren Moon, Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson. Kyler Murray will be good. Dak got hurt, but is good. There are plenty.

The thing about Haskins was that he was a perfect 10 as a prospect. He was basically the equivalent of a guy at Duke coming off the bench and then scoring 50 points in the NCAA tournament every game. Then he decided to declare for the draft.
So they know it is probably not going to work but if it does, you have a QB for 10 years. With QBs having so much value, somebody was going to take a chance.

He sure knows how to pull in the ladies though. Cough, cough...... Does anyone here think if he spent the time studying the playbook and correcting some flaws INSTEAD of using that time with strippers he might turn into something?

Players who treat the draft as a finish line ... red flag. Geno fired his agent the day after he got drafted - very early 2nd round, then signed Master P as his agent. That was all the preview a lot of fans needed, the inconsistent nonsense that transpired after was destiny.

Guy is a bum and doesn't have the IQ or work ethic to succeed in the NFL.
