From what I can remember from my visit there the two best features about the casino were the location and the action in the poker room. I had heard that Harrah's NO was one of their nicer properties, but it seemed like a bigger version of Harrah's Las Vegas, which is pretty unpretentious/downscale. I'm interested to see what it looks like when it's finished.

I agree that New Orleans is a great food city, and the service is a step above anywhere else I have been. The duck confit at Herbsaint was the best I'd ever had. Brennan's comped me free caviar. Revel is the nuts for classic cocktails. Try the Ramos Gin Fizz there.

For the first time in my life I agree with JJ on something, in that the city is best for a short stay. The entertainment options get a little too one-note after a while, but the city is great for some degening on Bourbon street, checking out a cool museum & music, walking around the river, eating some spectacular meals, and then taking off for someplace else. All imo, of course.

Would Biloxi be good for March Madness or not? The Harrah's there ... but damn flights to Gulfport lol take forever.

I should just go to Mexico or Puerto Rico. Too bad Panama City is shut down.
