With the proliferation of legal Sports Betting, what are ideal Start times for NFL games in the coming years? Have to consider West Coast Bettors and the fact a lot of degen bettors still don't have time to get plays in by 4:05 or even 4:25 est while waiting on 1pm games to end and settle. Seems a 12:45pm and 4:35pm kickoff would be a simple adjustment. Maximize that handle!

Love the 10am starts and everything over at 8 and still have time for wife. When i lived on the east coast, it drove me nuts getting up at 8 and waiting 5 hours for the game to start. The only thing i had to get use to is drinking at 10am. In college games, watching football till 11pm and telling my friend on thee east coast what happen in the late games because it ended at 2amComment -

Good points. SNF is very late for working folk. College kicks at noon, why is NFL 1:05pm? This will be remedied and when it is it will be because of bettors. Certain Horse Tracks have been smart enough to play games with MTP . Professional Sports will as well.Comment -
as a NYer, it sucks when sunday night and monday night end late and i have work the next day. games should start 7:30pm eastern the latest.
as for during the day, i would be fine with 12pm and 3:15pm but i know that screws the west.Comment -
they need to start the monday game early like 4 pm eastern..................some guys watch the nfl like 16 hrs on sunday and then you have another late night on monday.i still wish they had no sunday night game, it has taken all the shine off the monday night game and now it just another game............Comment -

There needs to be a 15-30 min window between the early and late games for books to payout/accept bets. Everyone on the Least coast is snorting tons of cocaine so the late games shouldn't be a problem.Comment -

i had a buddy who lived in edmonton for a bit. he was raving about how nice the start times on sunday for nfl were and i thought whats the big deal, its only two hours. when i went to visit and the games started at 11am, 2pm, 6:15pm and he was absolutely right. those were perfect start timesComment -
The 405 starts are awful. I remember an article after the ncaa changed the rules and games were quicker. The action was about 20 percent higher for the 330 games because bettors had some time between games. I guess because those games are west coast games that suck and 425 are the real games, they need 2 times in the second slot, but they should be more like 425 and 445 IMO.
