UF was a paper tiger. All hat with no cattle. I’m a UF fan but I can smell shit a mile away. That defense is shitty. They at least let fans know a week ahead of time there’s no hope.

No he didn’t. Being down at halftime made Florida tight. LSU was as depleted as any team playing yesterday yet Florida couldn’t put them away early. LSU has some embarrassing losses this year, yet beat Florida in the Swamp. Can’t blame that on a shoe toss. Its not like the shoe toss put them immediately in field goal range. LSU still had to kick a 57 yard field goal.

UFs offense is one dimensional. They have zero running game. So, you have no play action and LSU could just sit back on throws in the fog no less. Trask turning the ball over 3 times in the first half set the table but the shoe toss will get remembered more. That game was the perfect storm/fog for UF to lose. It happens in sports, which is why you have to play the games. 23.5 point dog won on the road. Unreal.

Ok Mullen and the shoe toss kid cost FL their shot. From the start, FL was playing tight and Trask was off. Mullen did not have them focused on Lsu, instead they were looking ahead to next Saturday night against Bama. Lsu was +3 in turnovers and it was still a game! That shows the talent discrepancy right there.
But if the kid does not toss the shoe? Gators win the game. They would have gotten the ball around their own 30-35 yard line, plenty of clock left, and easily marched down the field for the winning kick. They put up over 600 yards against that awful defense and would have gotten the win

LSU has more 5 and 4 stars than UF. LSU players are just younger but very talented. They were getting better every week, even though the scores didn't show it. We can all speculate IF the kid didn't toss the shoe. Sure it gave LSU a first down. BUT, what if the UF defense actually made more plays? How about them getting a turnover like the 3 LSU got? What if Trask wasn't turning the ball over every other possession in that first half? What if the UF kicker made the kick to send it to overtime? What if the fog didn't roll in and effectively ground UFs passing game? Plenty of blame to go around in that game?

I’m not so sure uf wins with no penalty. like they couldn’t score a td in red zone before missed fg bad play calling I think they still lose but when uf was down late and would make tackles on 1st and 2nd down they were very celebratory and a little more prob would have gotten a flag then. I was like why are u celebrating while down on 1st down stops ur losing idiot and it’s only 2nd down
