Only bet horses with the Twinspires or TVG money back promos or sign up bonuses. Too difficult to make money any other way with such high percentages taken out. Father in law loves his ponies so Ill meet up with him at the OTB on occasion to bet. It is fun to watch the degens yelling at the TVs.

if a horse is less than 2-1 i don't bother. i want least a $6 return on a $2 bet. just my way when i play which is few and far. i have my luck at belmont at times. my dad is the major horse guy. he concentrates too much on exactas imo and not win and place.

agreed. wish my dad understood that. he just sees $$$ when he hits a few exactas but then gets mad when his balance dwindles cause he never places WP on his first horse. he can pick winners but insists on getting the 2nd horse even in quinellas.
