Vandy's men soccer progarm was a top 5 program in the midwest (not the nation), I believe, before being cut in 2006.

COVID going to make things worse for all sports, evcen worse than it has.

Expect multi year cuts and some atheltic programs, even top ones, will be permanently cut.

Just ask Stanford, Clemson, Minnesota, etc. etc. etc.

If they have an open contest with students they would have found a lot of soccer players, that are not even on the mens soccer team, but are playing intramural soccer on weekends and probably smoke a pack of cigarettes that can kick the ball further and more accurate.

It is not hard to kick FG's if you played any soccer. It's the same concept as you kick a goal kick, corner kick or long free kick. You just aim for the center instead of the corners like you do in soccer and you don't need to put a spin on the ball to curl.
