Dispute with a local online bookmaker
Hi all! My bookmaker has voided my winning bet today. There was a friendly soccer match between Vejle - Hobro. I have contacted them and the answer was that the format of the game has been changed and according to their rules ""In case of change of the game format, the bets will be cancelled at every position."" they can void bet. I have also asked what exactly has been changed in that match, as much as I know they have played 90 minutes, 11vs11 soccer so their answer was... one of the teams didn't played with their starting roster and that was the reason. Any suggestions? Thank in advance!

Lesson learned...close the account find a new BM not that hard in this day and age.

Chances are if they took one shot at you and you accepted it they will
take another shot somewhere down the line.

”one team didn’t play with their starting roster” is laughable.
thats why there are lines and linesman to move the lines.

Unless of course you bet an obvious bad line they hung up.

Sounds great! Next time a NBA team you have bet on rests a couple of starters they'll refund you as well, I'm sure.

Basically take a shot at them and don’t pay if you lose if it’s on credit that’s always a great way and I highly recommend it

English is not my native language... by saying local bookmaker I mean a legally operating online bookmaker from my country of residence.

Did either team swap out entire team for a junior squad or something like that?

If so, it's more likely that they got hit hard by people with inside early knowledge and decided to cancel the entire market as "fixed".

                          Just guessing.

If this is a non-English speaking local bookmaker, I am not sure SBR can do much for you, but you are still welcome to submit a Sportsbook Complaint form if you wish.

I'd be looking toward their Georgian regulator if I was you.

As a paid poster for SBR, a site which mediates book and player disputes, is that really the advice you want to give? Should I take a shot at one of your sponsor books if I feel I was mistreated? I currently have an issue with Low Vig (BOL sister book) on an improper bet cancelation--so your advice is for me to take a shot at them to get even. Got it, thanks.

Vejle played with almost no regular starters. Their team consisted of mostly U19 players and a few players who are trying out for a contract.

Hobro played with many of their regulars and a few players trying out for contracts.

JJ's advice there is definitely not in line with SBR policy.

It was a friendly match, so the books must expect some changes to the lineup. Its not like it was the entire U19 team that played the match. Some players from the A-squad was also playing. It was just the ones furthest from the normal starting lineup that played.

I would also be upset if the bet was cancelled. But I am not sure what you can do about it.

Books shouldnt offer bets on friendly matches if they are gonna cancel them because the team lineups differs from their normal lineup.

You do have a valid complaint, just guessing you wont get anywhere with it.

                                          I did a little research.

The Georgia Revenue Service issues licenses. So they should be the ones able to handle complaints or tell you who does. www.rs.ge

But it also sounds like they let bookmakers there do what they want mostly. Which is why you have so many I read.

I do not think you will not be successful, as even though you might have bet fairly, I am guessing that the bookmaker could show evidence of unusual betting patterns from other players to justify their action. But you do have a valid claim that should be given a proper answer... not just us making guesses.
