I guess we will see how the Nebraska/Iowa game plays out. But I don't think Nebraska is "playing with a big head". Nebraska is playing like they are in the playoffs. If they lose the season is over. This is a HUGE game for Nebraska. 2 VERY different teams here. Iowa wants to win this game 17-10. Nebraska wants to win this game 42-35. If Nebraska can score then they will win. Nebraska finally was able to play their QB of the future last week and things went well. He was all over the field.... rushing, passing and receiving as well. McCaffrey (I'm sure you know his brother) will play in this game as well. Nebraska will open up the playbook with the dual QB threat. Nebraska is at home... and the fans will do their part. Nebraska came up just short last year in Iowa City. I think they get the win on Friday.
Let’s talk ncaaFB week 14!!

Im not sure if we gonna get the cash but we def gonna at least place in the points! I dunno bout you but I’d really like to split the 5k and get reimbursed for Xmas!! Lol.
I noticed we have to scale them w different unit sizes. Hopefully i can lean on you in this area cause even tho lately my “best bets” been cashing this has never been a strength of mine.
I’m very excited! Wish it started 2marro! Not only cause I’m pumped up but those 2-3 weeks these teams have off I think one the difficult aspects of capping bowl games.

#120This one could have lost too at the end. I was 90% sure Western Michigan gets a field goal at the end and sends it to overtime. Who knows what happens then, even if only 17-17. Thankfully got a turnover to kill the clock. I still don't get why number wasn't pounded down like usually is in these circumstances with bad weather in the forecast

I like the Rebs to ruin their in state rival chances to go bowling.,
I think this a pretty easy handicap cause both teams live and die with the run game. Rebs do it better ranking top 10 nationally in ypr, attempts, and rushing ypg. Ol miss also sports the much better run stuffing defense holding opponents to 4 ypc and under 140 per game. On the other hand bulldogs allow 4.8 per carry and over 160 a game.
Rebs also have the much more explosive and versatile rushing attack w the excellent running qb and a stable of talented backs with rich rod’s creative ways of getting them into space w extra blockers. Road team has dominated this series of late and I think the better team is catching points.Comment -

#131No doubt. The reason it concerns me some is neither these teams have the offense to overcome some untimely holding penalties moving them behind the chains and of course they can call that pretty much whenever they feel like it! (That tripping call on cowboys comes to mind. lol)., I hate thinking that way as I don’t think games are “fixed” but I do worry a conf wanting more bowl money might be inclined to make things difficult! Lol .,

————————————— ———-
What a game we have in store for Friday morning in the acc. Vatech/Virginia should be a good one., big rivalry and playing to go to the acc championship game! want a good laugh look at the history of this series!! Hokies have absolutely dominated this matchup winning the last 15 in a row!!!
To cap this game imo you have to ignore the hokies numbers pre hooker at qb who wasn’t inserted as the starter until end of getting whipped by duke. Since then this team been on fire, the only game they lost was a nail biter to a Irish team that looks like world beaters now and booker didn’t play that game, had he I believe Hokies win that game easy. I think I could argue this a top 15 team the last 6-7 weeks!!! The offense struggled last week against a excellent Pitt defense in bad conditions but they still found enough ways to score and the defense pitched its second straight shutout. Bud fosters has those boys playing their tails off in his final season!
I was really hoping to get a few points or small plus money here but appears oddsmakers have caught up to what we been seeing w this team.
On the other hand uva defense has been in decline. They have allowed at least 28 in their last 4. Only liberty hasn’t averaged 4.5 or more per rush in those 4. A Gtech team the Hokies destroyed on the road gave uva everything they wanted: unc put up over 500 yards of offense vs them and Louisville ran for 227!! The offense has done enough to get the wins since losing to ville but I’m not sure they will here vs a Hokies defense playing on another level than those teams uva been able to outscore.
History. Current form, key stats all scream to me the Hokies are once again the play (I’m not real sure Clemson will have a easy time with them in the acc championship!). Not only do I think Hokies have more success moving the ball but they also top 10 in the country in red zone efficiency on offense and defense! I’m telling ya’ll this Hokies team is unquestionably a top 20 team imo, maybe better than that!
The play:
Hokies -2.5
So these the 2 I played so far along with Oregon st in 1st post of thread. looks like I’m getting worst of that number which hadn’t happened in awhile, really don’t understand that thing trending toward 20??? Don’t care either, rather I waited but don’t like the play and less.,
I wish jerky would get back in here and respond to my thoughts on AF/wyo cause I’m really close to pulling trigger on wyo+10.5 unless he can sell me on why I’m wrong?
Other than that,
I lean gophers as dogs, not sure I agree with that,
Long as weather decent I really like the over in Purdue/indy even tho I missed crossing key number, i just rather do that than bet into a over this time of year and have it nosedive when we find out there a monsoon coming!! Lol. I still think plenty of room at 57 if weather good.
I agree with jerky on navy. Shoulda grabbed at -7.5 cause it -8.5 now, I think this a ass kicking so not too worried. Anything under -10 I think navy has value.
Still lean Michigan w the points. That only way I play that game but still little hesitant to trust them vs osu even tho think that the right side. Might get there w a push!
I’m still wanting to look at the ville/uk game just haven’t gotten to it.
Still agree with okie lite but dunno if make my card. Just don’t get why they keep putting Sooners as such big favs? Is it overvaluing them or undervaluing rest of big 12? Are they gonna ever cover one these? Even w a backup I think gundy will have his boys ready. Hurts keeps Everyone in the game, his team and the opponent! Lol
Army/Hawaii another one I could see having a play (when don’t we play Hawaii game when it on the island late nite!!! Lol).
Right now I think that pretty much everything I’ve played or I’m looking to possibly play. That bout all the steam I have for tonight. I’m
Gonna listen to some podcast and get some sleep!
Happy thanksgiving everyone!!Comment -

I could not make up my mind on UVA/Hokies game. My baseline review says UVA but since it does not take into account momentum, and Hokies are on fire, that pushed it off my card.
Minn/Wisc
I've committed to the Gophers. I don't see it as a "great" bet but there is enough value to warrant a play. Its gameday weekend there (1st one ever for Minn) so it should pump them up and their fans even more than usual. Weather looks like some light rain and 12 mph winds. Both run the ball well. Minn has those "pro" wide-receivers and may be a little more dependent on the pass than Wisc but getting points at home helped push me this way. It should be close but Minn at home + pts.
Ind/Purd
I agree with the Indiana pick. Since Plummer went out, Purdue has not played well, only beating NW by 2 (a bad team) and getting killed by a Wisc team that I don't think is as good as prior teams. Indiana meanwhile is coming off Penn St. (1 TD loss) and Michigan (a masscre). But the Penn St. game was respectable for Ind. The Mich game I think just plays to the fact Mich is has improved significantly since early season (especially offensively). Light rain 12 mph. If weather is going to impact one team more than the other, I would expect it to hurt Purdue more. Their run game is bad and are more dependent on pass game (& without Plummer). I took this game early in the week so I got a favorable line 6.5. It's up to 7. I don't think that would change my mind on this game though.
Army/Haw
I like Army in this game. We've lost a little edge since it's down to +2.5 but if you look at Hawaii's last 5 games and exclude the absolute worst CFB teams (New Mex and UNLV) they've won two by only 2 & 3 points (SJ St. & SD St. both @ Hawaii), and lost by 3, 30, & 22 (2 of these at home as well). At home they either win by 2-3 points (best case) or lose outright. Hawaii throws well but Army Pass-D is pretty good (top 20%). Finally, I think this is Army's last shot at a bowl. They need 1 more win and a win next week vs Navy is not likely to happen. This should inspire the Black Knights to cover if not win.
Couple of other games I like w/ a few notes:
Illnois -8 (I'd take it to -8.5) over NW. NW is not a good team. The only game they've been in in the last month and half is Purdue and that was the first game that Plummer could not play for Purdue, so I look at that as a one off. Meanwhile Illinois has shown a little bit of life the last few weeks since beating Wisky. They did lose to Iowa but that was on the road against a very good team.
Miami -9 vs Duke. But only if Dallas (RB) is playing. I've not got an update on his status today. The issue is this line has climbed quickly so value is going away fast.
UNC Char over Old Dom -9.5 if LeMay (RB) is playing. I've lost some value on this line waiting to hear about Lemay but Old Dom is bad. They've lost to some very bad teams by large margins (Midd Tenn, Fla Int, UAB). Close losses have only been to exceptionally bad teams (UTSA). UNC Char win over Marshall (by 11) last week and over N. Texas (by 1) a few of weeks ago, impressed me albeit they won at home.
That's my brain dump for the games this weekend. Looking at a couple of these yet (Miami, UNC Char).
Sorry about the length. Only 1 CFB today so thought you guys would have time to read and soak on it.
