According to Adam Schefter.......Clowney to Seattle.
‪Jadeveon Clowney is in Seattle and is about to sign his franchise tender, which will enable the Texans to trade him to the Seahawks, per source.‬

As a Texans fan, good riddance. Got a 3rd rounder, and a couple of scrubs for him. Was hoping for offensive line help, but you can't have everything.

3rd rounder for the best run defending OLB in the game.

Clowney wasn't going to play for the Texans unless he got a new contract. Texans didn't want to risk it. I don't blame them. Could have been a potential Albert Haynesworth-Redskins signing.

Great deal for my Seahawks. If you combine the Frank Clark and Clowney trades this is what Seattle gave up and got.

Seattle traded: Frank Clark, 3rd round pick, Jacob Martin, Barkevious Mingo

Seattoe acquires: Jadeveon Clowney, 1st round pick, 2nd round pick and swaps 3rd round picks.

I wouldn't be shocked it they get Melvin Gordon also. The Chargers just allowed his agent to work a trade.

O’Brien/Texans got fleeced in this deal and the Miami one. He should have been fired 2 years ago but instead the dead piece of shit McCain kept him and they will continue to be a 3rd rate organization under his goofy kid.

Nobody knows the player better than the team he plays for. There is a reason why they handed contracts out to Watt and Hopkins, but were then hesitant with Clowney. Seattle will either have an injury riddled season with him, or hand him a large contract at the end of the season for one year's work. Once he gets the big money, I think the rest of his career goes into cruise control, and that's why Houston didn't extend him. This trade will come out even, one way or another, when everything is said and done.

Houston got robbed in this trade. Seattle was going to cut Mingo, Houston did Seattle a favor and saved them $3 million. Even if Clowney leaves after one year, Seattle will likely get a third round compensation pick. So they basically traded a guy they were going to cut, an okay prospect in Martin for Clowney.

Capper to Saturday’s trade: Houston paid Jadeveon Clowney a $7 million signing bonus while Seattle is paying the remaining $8 million of his salary, per source.

Seattle also promised not to tag Clowney after this season, per source.

Resigning Clowney shouldn’t have been a priority for them but they got back 1/4 of a penny on the dollar if that for him. Until they can find a live body in secondary their d still is awful.
Houston one of the worst organizations at identifying and developing talent. Rest of afc teams outside of south are hoping Houston wins their division. Drawing them in postseason is like having a bye week. Not having a gm to handle roster has set them back years after they got ripped off yesterday in 2 deals.

You should be. You got a tremendous run stopper and a potentially dominant pass rusher when moved around on line to find mismatches. Gave up 2 stiffs and a pick and Texans’ dumbasses are paying 1/2 of Clowney’s salary.

Seattle is going to be very interesting team to watch this season.

Don't be fullled. The Texans definitely wanted to keep Clowney, but not at the price he wanted. Clowney wanted a similar contract to Khalil Mack (QB type money) which most teams aren't willing to pay no matter how good you are as a defensive player.

Texans would have gotten a 3rd round pick if he had signed somewhere else next year anyway. The distraction he was is not needed.

KLC trying some damage control and putting a positive spin on his Texan's moves but there is no way around it, you mortgaged the future trading 2 1sts and a 2nd.

Seattle similar to pats with smart moves. thats why they remain relevant. this may be a 1 year deal. hawks not usually interested in spending big outside of russell wilson. those picks are gonna be to replace what they aren't gonna pay for. i.e. clowney

Seattle is going to be very interesting team to watch this season.

Who’s dumb enough 2 pay this kid ? Definitely only motivated for money. Texans got tired of his act.

I don't like everything that we gave up to Miami, but at least they finally got someone who can keep Watson upright. We also now have one of the best receiving corps in the league. Their draft choices have sucked recently anyway, so I'd rather they get some established guys. I really wish they had overpaid for an offensive line coach like Mike Munchak. He's been pretty much magic wherever he has served in that capacity.
