    Baseball Data Points
What do you guys use for evaluating weather you'll place a wager or not? For me, it's all about first 5 data and SP's. Pitcher ROI comes into play along with std deviations, Xfip/FIP, Babip, and Swinging Strike Rate are pretty huge. I'll look into ERA vs Xfip Delta's occasionally too. I do hitter evaluations too which are a bit easier.

What do you guys use in evaluating starting Pitchers?

Also, I've considered making my scraped data public.......bearing in mind it's first 5 data only, would this be useful to anyone? Is this allowed here on SBR?

I dont deep dive into the analytics unless a pitcher has deviated far off from their typical performance. then ill see if I can find out why. pitchers with high GB ratios & solid K/bb ratio are who I like to back. if you can keep the ball on the ground & avoid free bases then you are on my list. high K ability is cherry on top.

I still "freestyle" too much though so to speak. I might try to capitalize on patterns I notice which might have nothing to do with the pitcher or the principles ive set. this is the hole in my game currently.

Like Swinging Strike Rate? baseball-reference has them for individual games, in playbyplay data, and I would presume for the season too.

I use play-by-play data, so I calculate it out of that.
