It is official: After months of speculation, the Raiders are finally the choice for HBO’s docuseries “Hard Knocks.”

This will be exciting for Raider Nation to finally see the inner workings of Jon Gruden and the Oakland coaching staff. With all the new personalities in this locker room, we are ready to see fireworks in August.

The Raiders will host the defending Super Bowl runners-up Los Angeles Rams for two joint training camp practices this year, the Raiders announced Monday morning.

The Rams will join the Raiders at their Napa training complex on Aug. 7 and 8 before their Week 1 preseason game on Aug. 10 in Oakland. This marks the second straight year the Raiders have hosted joint practices in Napa after the Detroit Lions visited in 2018.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden hired Rams coach Sean McVay to his first NFL coaching position in 2008, when Gruden was head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and McVay became an assistant wide receivers coach. McVay has skyrocketed up the league’s coaching ranks in the last decade, and since becoming head coach of the Rams in 2017 has won AP Coach of the Year and appeared in a Super Bowl.

Gruden and the Raiders are coming off a 4-12 season, and they’ll appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks starting Aug. 6.

Agreed to a certain extent. There is no doubt that the Raiders of 2019 are holding tryouts to see who makes the move with the team in 2020. Gruden has almost admitted that much. May as wel get all the pub they can.
