Guys, I have a couple of questions... I am sure someone here can answer.
1. I have been trying to use sportsbook.com's betting trends section to see how the public is betting. They list a percentage of money going on each side of a bet. Does anyone know if this is legit informatiion. I typically look for heavy action by the public and take the other side.
Today, they showed 77% of the publics money on Texas in the Alamo Bowl. Can this be possible when the spread moved two points in favor of Iowa.
2. Related to the previous question, does anyone know where to get free reliable information on where the publics money is going. I had one group emailing me about a year ago claiming they were getting the information from several different online sportsbooks but of course they charged a hefty price. The sportsbook.com's betting trends seemed to be just what I was looking for but I have seen several things such as what I mentioned in question 1 that make me think the information is not reliable.
3. I was listening to fox sports radio the other day and the entire segment was 2 different handicapping groups advertising and breaking down games. Mainly it was just really annoying because they basically kept screaming there phone numbers over and over and raving about how they pay for the right information to win games. One of them was "WINS930.com". Is there any merit to these goofs. If so, what the heck kind of information can they have that is so crucial and not made available to the public.
I knwo this is a lot of questions but I haven't been on in a while. Thought I would get it all in one thread.
Thanks,
rmdanie
