Are there any stories like this with pinnacle?
I tried searching this forum but did not find anything. I am wondering what has happened to someone betting on a game that already started or occurred at pinnacle. I am talking about Pinnacle offering a line on a game that has already taken place, and the bettor betting it.

I am sure this has happened before..but what I want to know is what happens? Does pinnacle accept their mistake and pay out? Do they cancel? Do they ban? Thanks for any insight.

It will depend when you bet it. Repeat past-posting will get you banned. If your money was at risk to some extent they might say they will pay you but you understand you will no longer have an account. Or, you can stay and accept that you took a shot, won't do it again and will forfeit the win.

It's really impressive that they can do that. We have seen players forfeit 4 figures in order to keep their accounts. Very fair too.

Thank you for replying. BY "forfeiting" do you mean requesting a cancel? Or accepting a loss.

Also: If you're in this situation is it best to contact them first, or wait and see?

I've heard they offer you an option. They pay you and you are booted, or they void and you are still good to play. They probably watch you closer if you bet Chinese Ping-Pong and such.

Depends on the situation. If you bet on a game that is already over I would suggest writing them. There is almost no chance you leave with that money if funds were not at risk.

Forfeiting the "winnings". They are not going to punish you by taking money you didn't rightfully risk and lose. They just want honest traders that they don't have to babysit.

            Thanks again.

If anyone is interested in what actually happened:

I was doing some research on the Bahrain PL in soccer and saw that Al Najma had defeated Al Hala the last 3 times, including once the day before. They were underdogs so I decided to put a relatively small amount on them. I started to realize that although the line said the game was in a few hours, there was no game scheduled for then. It had to be the one that already happened. In the heat of the moment, I pounded both the total and the side until it was taken offline. The amount was not very much (the max bet was only $71 and the line moved 5-10 pts each time). I was just having fun but I regret doing it.

I am going to email them and hope they understand

I've noticed on several occasions Pinny will offer sets betting on a tennis match assuming it's a best of 3 sets match when it's actually a best of 5 sets match. Normally...these wagers are cancelled and all monies returned. My guess would be they rarely make mistakes either in coming up with a line or with post time.
