The Seminoles are getting 14.5 at home this Saturday. After an awful start to the season, FSU appears to have righted the ship and even though they are likely out of ACC contention at this point, they appear to be a formidable squad. Francois is hitting his targets and even though they coughed up the lead to Miami, that game was clearly not a fluke. Obviously they are loaded with talent so it was only a matter of time before they figured things out.
On the other side, Clemson is rolling. They’ve demolished Wake and #16 NC State in back to back weeks and now all the talk is that we are headed for yet another rematch with Alabama.
While I think Florida State has the potential to pull off the upset here, I will admit there are some mental hurdles they have to get past. They are a team that has been knocked down the past few seasons and during that time, Clemson has passed them in ACC supremacy. But something tells me we are headed for a major upset this Saturday. At the very least, what looked like a blowout a few weeks ago now has the makings of a hell of a matchup.
