I'll tell you how butt hurt Yankee fans are - a friend on a group text said that it's unfair NYC has two baseball teams because that dilutes from the franchise being able to compete fully and the Mets should leave town. He makes absolutely NO sense, but then again maybe that's why the team appeals to him. Guy was over the top obnoxious when Yanks were rolling too. Massive Rangers fan as well, could be a connection.

Enjoy the win, but it was Red Sox fans chanting "Yankees suck! Yankees suck!" while winning a World Series in LA. Yankee fans have never cared a thing about the Red Sox once they've made the series. So I think you might be projecting a little bit here.
