Most successful NBA gambler in history. Undisputed.
Great analytics guy. When he hates a player, that player always ends up sucking.
Had a good relationship with Morey, but an even better one with Carlisle. This is no surprise.
Nothing but upside here for the Mavs.

Sounds like a relegation to me. An elite sports bettor doesn't just get a job. His methods don't cut it anymore is my take.

Good signing never the less. No doubt what so ever he will be better than the nimrods they have in other NBA front offices.

He noticed game management tendencies of three coaches (Jerry Sloan was one) and exploited edges in totals bets; as soon as the linemakers caught up, he "retired". He's a smart guy but he's not a handicapper.

The rumor was that it was the Pistons.
I wonder how much sway he'll have with GM Donnie Nelson. I can't imagine the typical GM just rolling over and saying "ok" when Bob wants to make a personnel change. In any case, it's good to see a team embracing analytics & gambling.

Yeah I saw a 2 hour interview with him on YouTube and he talked about that. He had worked a regular job and saved up like $30,000 and put it all on the Lakers. I wonder if he would have gave up betting had the Lakers lost. Blazers blew Game 7.
