Schalke are a mere shadow of the team of recent years. They have sold off their talented players , like Goretzka to Bayern , and are now struggling to stay away from relegation. The one bright spot was a 1 - 1 home draw to Porto in Ch League , which was followed up by a decent effort in a 2 - 0 home loss to Bayern. Freiburg are always on the fringe of relegation so their recent 3 - 1 road win at Wolfsburg was a bit of a shocker. Their last home game produced fireworks in a 3 - 3 draw with Stuttgart , so scoring goals has been a regular occurance this campaign. I am not sure if travelling to Freiburg will finally produce a win for Schalke , but it will be a good opportunity to net one or two after the likes of Porto and Bayern.
