Its as much a wager on Azerbaijan as it is a fade of Malta. Malta are the lowest ranked team on the continent ( #184 ) and have a 0W - 2D - 9L record in their past 11 overall. They opened the UEFA Nations 3 days ago with a 3 - 1 beating at lowly Faroe Islands ( another perennial loser ). Azerbaijan have at least shown improvement the past year , and amassed a .500 record in 2018 ( 2W - 3D - 2L ). They were unfortunate to not win in their opener against Kosovo after controlling the game throughout. A win in their last friendly at Latvia ( 3 - 1 ) shows that they are capable of beating better then Malta. I think the price is a bit over done @ 1.85 , but it will be Azerbaijan that carry the play to Malta imo

Iceland are no longer The Cinderella team that played so well in 2016. They are clearly in demise, and the additional games are starting to take their toll on a team short on depth ( the countries population is in the 350k range ). They traveled to Switzerland in the opener on Sept 8th and were smoked 6 - 0. This was just the culmination of a winless skid of 8 games ( 2D and 6L ). Belgium are healthy , deep in available talent , and come off a big 4 - 0 win in Scotland on Sept 7th. The only thing that Iceland have going for them tomorrow is the weather forecast. It is going to be an unseasonably cold day with temps in the 10C range and light rain .Comment -

Its classified as a " friendly " but their is plenty of undercurrent to this game. Ireland were trounced at Wales 4 - 0 in the opener of UEFA Nations. Not only are they a wounded side, but their are plenty of issues in the dressing room as well. Assistant coach Roy Keane has had a rift with two other players ( Arter and Walters ) and Manager O'Neill's system is being questioned. Ireland just arent deep enough to fill the gaps that are being created in the line up. Poland , with a new manager and a decent showing in a 1 - 1 draw at Italy , are buoyed by the 100th cap for Lewandoski today. I never underestimate the pride that the Irish always bring to a battle , but they are without enough weapons to make any real impact.Comment -
