#8Not cancer.
The Vikings noted that his death was unexpected, but did not state the cause. According to journalist Chris Mortensen, Sparanos was admitted to the hospital after complaining about chest pains over the weekend. He was released after doctors performed tests. Sparanos and his wife Jeannette were about to leave for church on Sunday when she found him unconscious in their kitchen. He couldn't be revived.Comment -

#15Not an expert, but you would think if somebody checks in th ER with chest pain, besides your regular vital signs check, they would do blood work, EKG, labs, X-ray the works. Prior to sending him home.
unless he had an Aneurysm- then that one you couldn’t predict.Comment -

#16It’s a terrible story, maybe it was an aneurysm that’s hard to detectComment -

#20A buddy of mine died like this a few months ago. 52 - relatively healthy - went to the urgent care with some chest pains and just didn't feel right. They did some tests and sent him home. He died that night sleeping in his easy chair.Comment -

#21Been there and done that. Went to the ER with pains in my neck 3 years ago. They found nothing but did more because I had a history of high triglycerides and cholesterol. Found out 3 of my arteries were 90% blocked and I needed a 5 bypass. If I didn't have that inquisitive doctor, I probably would have been dead in a couple of weeks because I was going to participate in a 5 mile walk for breast cancer with my daughter.Comment -

#27A lot of people blaming doctors, but you never know. In February my father in law had a heart attack on a Monday. Had surgery, was doing well, they even kept him an extra day or 2 as a precaution. Released him on Friday, had another heart attack on Sunday morning and died. Doctors can only treat what they see.Comment -
