I would insert a poll in here, but dblow is already king of sucking poles, so I'll just stick to golf.

Well, then I'll put a couple plays here too.
Finau -160 over Olesen for the tourney.
Schauffele +120 over Finau for the 1st round.

Don't really feel too good about pick'in favorites here, anything can happen at the course the Brits have nicknamed "Car-Nasty"
Kinda hoping Tiger does have a decent tourney here though. Dude has been improving nicely and this links style course should play well into his game.

The winds better kick up or the leader will be -12 after round one. This course is playing like a pitch and putt with how dry the fairways are. Players are hitting 3 iron off the tee and have sand wedges into every green, which are holding and spinning.

Looks funny on TV, with the brown dry fairways it makes the greens look fluffy.
I thought they would have it playing tougher, we'll see what happens.

The wind is the only thing that can protect that place.

Yeah, course is play'in great right now for the early starts, Unde, I'd imagine it will be changing a lot as the day moves on. I'm wondering how much affect the time change will have on players from the US on eastern standard time. Gotta be weird play'in golf when you'd normally be sleeping.

Yeah, looks like most of the major names tee off around and after 7am.
Speith, Rahm, Fowler , and Justin Rose, do head out at 5am. Those are some good pairings.

Kisner with eagle put to go 1 under.
Reed interviewed was asked if it changed his short game strategy to have the grass near the green almost as fast as the green.
Reed said it's actually faster around the green because of how "burned out" it is.

Wow, this Van Rooyen guy had every break there is out so far. Easily could have been in numerous green side bunkers but somehow stayed out and then all the right kicks.

Holy Shit KVB! Fleetwood has a hell of a set of legs! Petty sweet swing too! Seriously though, good pick at 18 to 1, dude was on fire at the US Open. I could watch this chick play all day.

I watched for about two hours this morning, then quickly lost interest because it looks like they're playing in San Diego . . . short sleeves, no wind, no rough. When I watch the British Open I want the wind blowing 30 mph.

Justin Thomas 3 birdies and bogey free on the front 9. Pretty wild, 3 Americans and 3 South Africans holding down the top 6 on the leader board.

Finau looking good for the tourney prop but he looked a little too good and beat Schauffele by 4 strokes in the first round.
Could Finau win this thing? I think he could. I think he's going to win a few tourneys in the next couple of seasons, maybe he gets a major.

Lord knows he has the talent and I am pretty confident he will get a major under his belt. I just don't think it will be the Open Championship. I think we see most of that leaderboard disappear into the night as it gets tougher.

Finau is just one of those dark horse kind of players. If I bet him, the guy tanks, don't bet him and he's sitt'in there tied for 2nd on the leader board. Definitely has the talent though, might be his year to finally break out and win a major.

Between Finau and Stenson, I just didn't pull the trigger for the winner, I hope I don't regret it.

Wow! Zach Johnson on a run to start the 2nd round, 3 birdies on the front 9 after bogeying the 1st hole. He's sitt'in in a tie for 2nd place. USA players are look'in pretty good right now.

And here comes our guy Tommy Fleetwood, busting out of the front 9 bogey free and 3 birds as well! He's gett'in it roll'in in this 2nd round after putting up that crappy 72 yesterday. Up 39 spots to 11th place. Keep it go'in dude!

Did he play in one the later groups yesterday mike?
Early guys yesterday had such a advantage. I would think we see some good rounds from some those guys today w the rain softening things up!!

Good morning to you 2da! Yeah bro, he did play in the one of the later groups. Indeed, with the rain these greens will really hold the ball more firmly on approach shots. Fleetwood just rolled in another one on the 11th.
