When you see Southern states getting into this, you know it is going to expand rapidly. Some will screw it up initially and make adjustments and then the lobbying money from the casinos and sports leagues will kick in. Doubt any state will not have competitive odds within a few years. Gambling is done world wide and people know how to make it work.

Yes, we all know he cannot overturn the ruling, which over ruled a law he came up with by the way, but he can pitch legislation that forces you to wager in person and not over mobile devices or computers. Hatch is a devout Mormon and hates gambling.

When he says uniform he is talking about strict regulations that will impede you from placing bets with ease and/or banning the betting on college sports. Trust me, Hatch is no friend of gamblers.

It's not a stupid question, it's an excellent question.

Basically the leagues ignored the matter so long as it was Nevada alone who legalized it. Then the leagues fought tooth and nail to prevent it from being legalized in Delaware and then NJ. Now that the leagues lost in court, they want a piece of the action.

If I was the governor or a state rep of any state passing sports betting, I'd tell the league to go f-themselves.
