I don't mind Smith. He at least would have been better than Mark Jackson.

I just didn't want them breaking up the TNT crew.

He is a good coach. Memphis shouldn’t have canned him. Knicks have a bad roster though. Porzingis and a bunch of crap. They need another reset and shouldn’t go crazy overpaying to keep Kanter.
Jackson will coach again and wear out his welcome before season 3.

David Fizdale has agreed to a four-year deal to become the next coach of the New York Knicks, league sources told ESPN. Fizdale is the Knicks' 11th coach since the 2001-02 season and the fifth since the start of the 2010-11 season. Management hopes that he can start to elevate a franchise that hasn't reached the playoffs in five seasons.

Fizdale seems like a good coach but the knicks are so dysfunctional (look at roster and bad contracts) that I don't think any coach alive could fix them. He will be gone in two years

When he was in Memphis he & Marc Gasol reportedly never spoke. How can you not establish that connection with your star frontline player when you're effectively the leader of the team?

A lot of things you haven't heard of. Not exactly an encyclopedia between your ears.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Great hire for a crappy franchise. He actually might turn this shit show around if the front office get out of his way.

Let me count the YEARS since the Knickerbockers have been relevant.
I wish Fizdale the best. He realizes his recent coaching mistakes and should be
able to help the NYKs if given time.
