Have there been studies on gamblers lifespans
This shit cant be good for peoples health. I was just watching a tennis match and everytime my dude faced a break point i could feel my heart beat out of my chest. The stress of this shit is bad, then you got guys like JJ whos worried about goons hunting him down for his money. Im also guessing most arent in the best shape too and lack of excersise.i was just curious but i would say may 8 years off a persons life if they gambled everyday

          good question

I'm guessing a gambler's life span is shorter than the average person. However, life in general is stressful, so maybe not as much as one would think?

wasn't addicted to gambling, but was betting a lot larger than I should have been late 2016 into 2017... I sleep a lot easier now that I lowered the stakes... $5k on a tennis match I didn't even watch, $2500 on one quarter of a cavs game. shit was a little ridiculous and am glad I'm not about it.

If we consider suicide cases due to bankruptcy caused by hard addiction of gambling, I believe the average lifespan of a gambler is not too high

I found work stress is worse. Looking at the 10s of emails early in the morning from work is more stress than anything.

i PREFER to die at 65 rather than 95

after 75, you are mainly just a drain on society and your beneficiaries

Hey, 1100 people die in Vegas casinos annually on average..... that's 3.5 a day in what is only a large handful of gambling dens.

                              It's not easy.

I was always wondering this same thing. I feel the gambling stress is much different than regular life stress. When I’m watching a close game with money on it I can feel the stress in my heart. When I stress about other things I can barely feel a difference in my heart rate.

I agree, but the nerves get shot and filled with anxiety and regret....lol...Either long life span or short (no in between) About 20 years ago, I saw a guy drop dead at Yonkers Raceway (inside by the betting machines). He layed there so still. Wasn't pleasant. Thinking the worst thing that would happen is losing money that could go to something needed. Instead, it was his last trip to Yonkers Raceway. Pretty sad. Old timers are smart because they don't get carried away and are there to get out of the house.

It most definitely is a stress. It's how we handle it. The only thing about gambling is it isn't like drugs. You won't overdose. Plenty of times in the past, a game was on and I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. I had to take a walk..anything. it can eat up your digestive tract. People shouldn't fool themselves.

The stress of gambling builds up an immunity, similar to sickness. We'll live forever.
