Daring poker player takes tournament winnings and bets them on one roulette spin

Winning nearly $60,000 in a high-stakes poker tournament wasn’t apparently enough excitement for Jake Cody.

The poker pro took the money he won during a high roller event in the United Kingdom and plunked ALL OF IT on “black” at a roulette wheel. One spin would decide if he lost it all or doubled his money.
    The ball landed on …
    BLACK 22!

            That does take balls

Grind out a $60k pot then toss it all in on Black....I love it thou, it's why we play.

I did that pretty drunk once in Vegas at Flamingo, the board showed 8 reds in a row and a green on the last spin....they let me lay $2500 on Black w permission. Another douche put $2500 on Red because he's 'that guy'....

It landed green again, my buying power to procure companionship for the evening dropped from 10s to 5s.

            Good for this guy!!

              speaking of green ; 0 and 00

half drunk one night many yrs ago... walking to cage to cash Craps winnings

had an odd # of chips. 25.00 more than an even mental number

came up to a roulette table and threw a 25 green chip on 00 - HIT !

have tried that ^ at least 100 more times since... no good

Typical poker player leak. Replace roulette with sports betting and this is the story for a lot of pros.

Theres a reason casinos tuck the poker room in the back and you have to walk past a mile of slots, black jack, and baccarat tables to get to the exit

Guy either has more cash then he knows what to do with or he is on the verge of busto "relative to the stakes he plays" and needed to double it to stay afloat. Prolly the earlier

He is probably chasing a lifetime of losses.....

When you do this chasing, winning money less than what was lost, has no value.....

$60,000 for a live high stakes event? That's nothing, must have been a small field. 60,000 is nothing for Poker players that are sponsored by sites like Pokerstars.
