Luck is when preparation and opportunity converge. I would say they were prepared enough for this, and they did quite well.

More than likely they find different work, but if they stay I'm willing to bet that they will have received some great advice and training. Next time they will have a small 9mm loaded with hollow points (not a 380 revolver). Next time they will not be within an arms reach when discharging their gun, and next time they will make sure they put him down.

It was this guys 10th suspected armed robbery, he is now in the hospital where he is now in a medically induced coma. He took multiple body hits and one to the head and still made it out of the store. When I was a firearms instructor we tried to teach people getting shot or shooting someone isnt like the movies, very rarely except with a good head shot will a person be incapacitated by a handgun. Three things I take away from this.

1.The women had guts, but also had small caliber handguns, and are lucky this didnt turn on them, he was armed with a sawed off shotgun
2.This is an excellent video to use when training people about shooting situations, you dont stop shooting till the threat is down
3.Why isnt this all over FOX,CNN,NBC,ABC,CBS etc? Oh I forgot its not politically correct to show the good guys winning

I basically agree... these women were using compact 380 from what I could tell - like with target ammo. If they were shooting 9mm with hollow points he goes down in the 1st maybe 2nd shot to the body
