quirky stuff went down last night in the duels..... initial favorite kes now having to go to a back up car in the 500.....

hamlin faded in the second duel (granted, I think he didn't want to see what happened to kes happen to him in the final two laps), but interesting nonetheless.....

blaney and elliot on the rise.....

keep an eye on the 22 and the 41 on sunday!

little history update, since he kinda got the reasoning for plate racing wrong....

plates weren't implemented because of big pack wrecks on the superspeedways, but rather because without plates, speeds were hitting 215-220 mph, and the cars, due to the technology in aerodynamics, were goin' airborn in wrecks....

thus, we got the plates, which created "pack racing" that didn't exist at daytona and dega before the plates.....

pack racing with under-horsepowered engines has created the big ones, and more wrecks than there were before plate racing, and is the reason we see the huge packs, as all the cars are very equal, performance wise.... it is the trade off to avoid having cars fly up into the stands, which was starting to happen as the unrestricted cars were subject to soaring through the air at the 210-220 mph speeds.....

this year, cars hitting 202 mph due to lower rear ends/less rear spoiler impact.....

                  should be a wild race!!!

3 has a chance if one or two of the big ones occur that impact the best fords in the field.... kes's unforced error last night shows that can happen at the front of the draft....

3 has a history of hangin' around late in recent plate races, he could sneak in a "W" if he plays his cards right and avoids trouble... not likely, but a better chance than his bro, for sure

Austin sounds determined, has a decent record in plate races, and RCR supposed to be on the improve.

If he won it would be deserved.

I Guess Ty could luck one in.

would've taken him before this week (i did last night in duel 2), but don't think anyone has anything for penske or elliott if they're running at the end

Pleased SBR will have a weekly NASCAR segment this year.

                                          Nice job Big Man.

Keselowski, Elliot and Kurt Busch not a bad roster at all.

You should try to hook up with poster 5mike5 and see if you can get him to give you an early Head to Head pick each week too. To give the -110 type bettors something to follow.
