Not for me but I understand it's the future and it's going nowhere. Kind of reminds me of when Poker first started being televised and everyone complained it wasn't a sport, I see e-sports going the same way, especially with money involved.

I'm not interested but it's getting more popular. Wouldn't hurt to add some e sports props at SBR.

Know somebody that was part owner of a team and seeing the dedication and skill involved changed my mind about esports. Still don't enjoy watching it but these people are truly masters in their fields and has much more skill and strategy involved than people think.

I get it but I don't know enough about the teams to bet on it. I have a buddy who is a manager for a couple of decent players. I just get picks from him

The biggest problem is that there isn't just one game. It's like following 5 different sports at once since each game has it's own specific player strengths and weaknesses.

There's no money in it.
Books have limits and some won't let me bet at all.
There was a poster who was doing in well with esports...
Limits will go up if it keeps increasing in popularity. A pinnacle rep said e-sports was now their biggest market after Soccer, major American sports, and tennis in an interview on the Business of Betting podcast a few months back.

That's what I figured as well. As the market gets more players and becomes more liquid, the books can raise limits for the public. But very few books will let me bet the issues without limits. I'm guessing BM and Pinny, but I've never personally pulled the trigger with limits at those books for esports.
I'd like to cash in before they get a clue about my account and take away the options. In fact, I don't even use my regular accounts for esports. By spreading the action to the few places I can, I'll extend the life of my betting those markets.

On pinny betting ML in the major leagues you can get 3k+ down for a single bet most games. May not be enough for you JJ but for small fries like me that's plenty

I don't know about all this. Last years LOL world championship had 106m viewers and sold out a stadium with a capacity over 60k. It was held in the most popular region (China) so those stats are bigger than you would expect but esports isn't going anywhere, you can trust me on that.
Even with franchising coming to the major regions, NBA teams buying spots at 10m a pop, with 100s of applications. These aren't random rich people, these are smart business people who are very confident that the whole scene is only going one way, and that's up.

Experts say esports betting expected to surpass $6 billion in 2018
Todd Quinones
Apr 25, 2018
Esports is breaking yet another major barrier in the Las Vegas valley. Not only are fans able to watch major events in the new Esports Arena, but they can now bet on video games
"As far as I'm aware Nevada is the only place that is accepting legalized wagering on esports tournaments," Jenifer Roberts, Associate Director of The Center of Gaming Regulation at UNLV said.
That puts her basically at the forefront of establishing and maintaining the integrity of esports betting in the US.
When asked if the industry has all the rules and regulations figured out yet Roberts said,"I think they are getting there."
if you have any doubts about the popularity of esports look no further than The Luxor.
This is where esports teams from across the world will play each other in a state of the art brand new 30 thousand square foot arena that opened last month.
"You think about the crowd and everyone tuning in, [they are] watching these big-time teams come down here," CEO of Allied Esports Jud Hannigan said.
These are the kind of major tournaments where people can bet on.
"Betting on people playing video games may be more popular than you think," says the Director of research at UNLV's game institute Brett Abarbanel. "Pinnacle which is a large sports book in Curacao announced Esports had overtaken golf and rugby in terms of popularity on their site. They are looking at 100% growth numbers year over year."
While millions of dollars can be wagered on the biggest esports tournaments around the world the gaming industry is also looking at player versus player betting.
The idea essentially is someone could walk into a casino and bet another player in a head-to-head matchup in a particular video game.
