Olympic is waiving all neteller withdrawal fees, for now.

How much do you want to bet they will gain more in increased business, than they lose from the fees?

Charging withdrawal fees is one of the mistakes most books make.

CRIS is one of the worst offenders, charging $30 for a $2500 withdrawal, except for Friday. However, if you are a really good customer of CRIS and cash out more than $2500, they slap you with the fee for the amount over the $2500.

Sportsbooks, especially the ones with relatively high limits, don't want to spend man hours processing the same $50 bucks in and out each day. The other factor is that moving money costs money. CRIS' overhead comes in the form of early lines and higher than average exposure. They might be able to give those big players free payouts but then the small loser doesn't get the reload.

It would be nice if you didn't have to wait until Friday. I'm sure it adds incentive to play throughout the week since most bet it up on weekends.

Surely there are some restrictions even if they aren't written out. They can't keep offering this to the guys who bet, withdrawal, deposit, repeat . . . over and over.

But of course is better for players overall.

I would think that the best fee policy is the one Bodog uses, which in English is: Withdraws are free, unless you're abusing that, in which case you pay costs. If a player is withdrawing so often that the cost of the withdraws in money and time is approaching your hold, you need to do something about that. But if a player is only moving money when they have a good reason, they shouldn't pay - it annoys the player a lot more than it helps the book.

And CRIS will let you stick around no matter what, koko, but you stop getting freeplays (and loyalty points) rather quickly if you're sharp. I actually had confirmation by e-mail (from a clerk) that a promotion e-mailed directly to me did in fact apply to me, and still didn't get a reload bonus.

No doubt Bodog is nice with the withdrawls, but they have late lines, deal sharp lines, etc.
