Absolutely true. There's little reason to watch because I've been there, done that. I've lost count of all the games I lost that I should have won, all the games I won that I should have lost. All the games just don't mean anything.

I don't think so especially if you have children or grandchildren still playing in some form or fashion!

I believe it really all comes down to when they got interested in it to begin with.

Age is irrelevant..You can have a 30 year old who was die hard at the age of 10 and be burnt out, or you could have a 60 year old who learned what sports were at age 55 and shitting presents daily like it is Christmas.

Seems like since you don't play them anymore the interest in watching would increase

Kind of like a guy who isn't getting any needs more porn

True.. If I didn't have money on these games I might give up watching sports altogether.. It's not constructive.. Got better things to do with me time and life...

This is coming from a guy that lived and breathed sports his entire life..

I think it depends as Grease said but this post is spot on when it comes to me and my older brother. When I was a kid I was a sports nut but my interest faded as I got older. My older brother on the other hand couldn't care less about football when we were kids but his interest has grown gradually over the years. And since we are from Minnesota... he's shitting presents daily at the thought of Minnesota going to the Super Bowl in their own home stadium.

Im in my 50s and retired, so I spend more time watching games now than I did when I was younger and working. I dont remember spending much time watching sports or tv in general when I was in my 20s and 30s, my 40s were years devoted to working my ass of so I could retire in my 50s , seems like I always had something to do or somewhere to be, kids, wife, business, hobbies, etc. kept me occupied when I was younger. Time flies so enjoy it while you can.

I was definitely more emotionally invested in the main two sports I liked when young.

My mood on Mondays would pretty much come down to how my team went.

It's not that important any more in my 50s but I probably enjoy it more now in reality.

I don't think millenials are that interested in sports either. I think there is a decline in interest in sports in general.

I'm just as much into handicapping and gambling as I was when I was younger--maybe even more so because of all the lessons I've learned.

But I have a whole lot less interest in trying to follow the girly talk in this forum by attention whores and so-called POTM's. Makes me want to puke.

My only interest is making money on the games. I couldn't care less about the lives of the players or coaches. I don't watch the games.
