Cora has no managerial experience and now takes over a big time MLB ball club that's always in the spotlight.

Seems like a nice guy though, I wish him success.

Wow I remember him as a player according to Wiki his last gig was just a bench coach for the Astros 42 years old how do you go from being a bench coach to be in general manager of the Red Sox at 42 years old. I don't think Red Sox Nation is going to be too happy about this.

1) probably finishing in last place int he division twice and getting knocked out in the alds the last 2 years.

Cora was sharp on Baseball Tonight, and a very popular bench coach. Beyond that, no idea if he'll be good.

You guys are right though, will take a tough SOB to win again there. Ferrell was IMO.
