Not really defending just playing devil's advocate, I did bet Cubs, fell asleep in 2nd inning and woke up in the 7th. Girardi is my fav manager in all of baseball, I dont follow it closely, just like that he yanks pitchers quicker than most when he sees the bs starting.

Gotcha. Not defending him, just saying, if this is the way he manages it must work, he's in the playoffs every year with multiple teams. I would think a lot of those guys go off of feel sometimes along with their knowledge of players, who knows.

Dusty had a senior moment thinking it was mid July and decided to save max for his start in 5days. He later went on to explain you don’t use your setup and closer in a tie game cuz that’s just silly and not how baseball works.
