FOXBORO -- On Saturday, less than a week before the regular season, Jacoby Brissett was traded to the Colts for former first-round pick Phillip Dorsett.

Although the third-string quarterback spent one season in New England, he was a very popular player in the locker room.

On Sunday, he took to Instagram to thank the Patriots organization for his time with the team.

Brissett wrote: To the Patriots organization thank you for the opportunity. The countless memories will live forever. To that locker and the friends/relationships that I've gain in such a short amount of time thank you guys for accepting me. KLC, well done on this, I saw this right as L3 draft started and picked up Dorsett in the later rounds. He should do well with Brady throwing to him.

Total win for Patriots as word was it was very iffy if they could give him a roster spot. They gave him the ball the entire game 4x and he played well, showed some skill. Pats seem to be trying to give TB12 more weapons/targets than ever, and just added another.

No, Brisset is a high talent, he's played in real games
and shown a lot. He could be a starter or solid #2.
