They should have given coach Strong more time. They are getting Karma dished for screwing Strong over.

You'll see a different team in the second half. I'm a Longhorn and Houston Cougar fan. Herman ain't going to put up with this shit. Texas will come back and win.

Texas' Holton Hill is the first player in the last 10 seasons with a pick-six and a blocked field goal return for a TD in the same game.

Texas has lost 39 straight games when trailing by 14 or more points (last win: Nov. 3, 2007 at Oklahoma State).

To me, the answer is in the stats. You have a 2 headed rushing machine in Porter and Warren. The offensive line has to get off their asses, and make some holes so the Longhorns can control the clock, and keep that kid off the field.

I doubt it. Bad habits take time to change. Too many mistakes that I don't see them fixing in a few minutes in the locker room. I took MD 2nd half ML +460. This might get out of hand.

Texas should have just kicked fg. Dumb Texas fans cheering after penalty as if they get the ball back after a penalty called after the play.

Probably afraid to give the kicker a chance after shanking one, and having the other one blocked.

He should be on the hot seat. Charlie Strong was fired because they couldn't stop anybody. Maryland is NOT light years better than they were last year, yet they hung 50+ on the DeHorns

Herman: “Nine months of training wasn’t just to beat Maryland.” About instilling a culture. It’s a process, he said.

Pretty sure you're kidding. He lost to Kansas in his third year there. That is more than enough to get him fired.

Why can't Texas fans just admit the obvious. They simply do not have the talent level needed to perform on a consistent basis.

University of Texas football has been irrelevant on the national scene for 7-8 years. The problem is people in the Austin area don't seem to realize it like the rest of the nation.
No reason to overreact after 1 game on Herman's coaching ability.

I agree. Give him a few years to prove that he is worthless, like Charlie got. Again, Texas just does not have the talent. They can beat anyone on any given day, but they can also get beat by anyone on any given day.

why do fans/AD's/etc. expect coaches to win with other coaches' disheartened recruits?
i think all these hirees deserve a 1 year grace period where they assess/integrate/etc. what they inherited.
i don't think texas winning right now and texas getting back to being a dominant program in 3 or 4 years is entirely compatible. i think trying to win right away sets you up for chronic 8-4, 9-3 type records. of course that's better than 5-6 but the real goal should be 11-1 or 12-0, especially in big 12.

Not kidding. The school never got behind Strong, they threw him under the bus before he got off the plane. He was never given an honest chance. Administration was setting him up to fail from the get go. Hard to win when your own people won't back you. Karma.

Coaches should get at least four years, unless they are absolutely terrible. Maryland has something going on with UA, and players are being pushed there in CFB, and CBB.
Texas shouldn't struggle this much, but you have to give the coach 5 years to get their players in place.

Why can't any coaches actually coach football. It should not be all about what players you can get.
